Club 'jobsworth' rules are a joke. Our company held a seminar there and during breaks some of the smokers attending were told that as it was a non-smoking stadium, they could not smoke OUTSIDE the stadium and were told to walk round the stadium to the car park where it was permitted.

Really can't see crowds ever getting as low as 13000 in the lifetime of the stadium.

Why not? The good times won't last forever. Plenty of bigger clubs than us have found themselves floundering about in the lower leagues playing in front of those kind of crowds.

Man in the Beige Coat should be handed a life ban TBH.

You really are a knob. They should give you a life ban for being a boring prick.

Well if they ban smoking on stadium property then good. Don't want people infecting my lungs with their filth.

My view is that that is an extremely pessimistic forecast.

Of course no one knows for sure but in my experience we've only scratched the surface of potential fans in the area. Also, economic times are very challenging at present, and yet despite of this we have great crowds. If we can get such numbers through the gate now, then when things improve we'll be looking at stadium expansion rather than 13000 gates.

I accept the above is of course just my opinion.

He was inciting people to stand up and looked fairly aggressive. A ban for the season at least.

Well the way its going everyone will be sitting down and shutting up, politely applauding like rows and rows of robots. Just how football is supposed to be.

You'll be very content then.

You can watch arsenal now to get an idea of what that would be like.

If people sat down when they were told then the stewards wouldn't treat people like this. As the man admitted in the first post, he is a persistent stander and others said the language got quite heated, which is the reason why he has the life ban. Perhaps people need to learn to take a chill pill and not get so uptight if they are told to follow the rules of the stadium. World would be a much happier place.

Bollocks. The stewards should have taken him down to the concourse and said "look mate, we're watching you inciting the crowd and encouraging others to stand up. We can't have you doing that, if you continue to do it we'll have to eject you, and then you'll be looking at a ban. Do yourself a favour and calm down a bit". Then let him back in. Job done. If he does it again, out he goes and he can have no complaints.

But no, you'd rather he was instantly banned from the Albion for life.

Do you ever go to away games? How long have you been following the club?

So basically you want us to be another Reading? Another no mark plastic club in a soulless stadium.

Since 1995 (27 currently), been to most home games since that point, although only about 50-60 away games due to financial restraints.

So did you just do as the club told you back in 1995 and sit down quietly and not ask any awkward questions? They were the rules after all, and anyone breaking them should be banned for life.

Only in the back rows, which is why I don't get why people complain. If they wanted to stand, they should have bought tickets in the back row. Makes sense right?

Well yeah, except there are a lot more people who want to stand than there are seats in the back rows.

Ground Regulations.

It is so petty most people's arguments here. 'Everybody else is standing, so should I'.

The facts of the matter are the club can do what it wants. It's a bully in that respect but like a grumpy landlord of a pub, it can do what it wants. Only the emotional attachment of football makes this a cause to fight over. But frankly the club can do what it wants and the customer in this sense can justifiably feel very very hard done by. But it's not the criminal or even civil justice system here. The club can do what it wants. I really really feel for this guy - he must feel like a husband who's just found out his wife has had an affair. Shame on you BHA. Shame.
