What was going in around the 88th minute at the west end of the North Stand as it looked like several fans were ejected and were venting their anger at the stewards.

They were not happy to say the least..............

still going on at 5.05pm after i had been on the radio with my chit chat about the match. pissed up hospitality guys trying to get back in after being told to leave. moaning about ' i pay for hospitality and give this club money' bollocks- doesnt give you the right to get pissed up and start shouting when asked to leave.... 2 babyshams and they are gone!

What happened was as follows.

Todays Match Sponsors were swearing and shouting loudly. Whilst it was nothing more than you would hear in the South they were in the row in front of all the Southend Directors and there were a few kids around.

As I said it wasn't too bad and very pro Albion and the players but it was probably a bit over the top when you are there.

I don't think it was the swearing that got them watched it was the fact that they kept standing up!

As you know well this was like a red rag to the stewards (especially as they had hats on!- not really I made this bit up)

Seriously though the Stewards were itching to kick them out especially one so instead of quitely having a word they called one bloke out and this made his mates even more angry. I don't know what was said but then instead of just calming down and telling the Stewards yes sorry he protested and was not allowed back. Some of his mates went with him and the arguments continued for even about half an hour later outside it kicked off again with another of them trying to have a go at a steward and Plod steamed in.

I think it ended then

To be fair both should have handled it better the blokes for not realising they were a bit too OTT and the Stewards for not calming it down.

I felt a bit sorry for the blokes as they were real fans just a bit loud for where they were

You don't even go to withdean so what does that mean?

There is only one part of Withdean that really ever sings and I suspect Falmer will be the same except if we are doing really well.

I think they found that one couple had indeed brought a packet of GLACIER MINTS and not WORTHERS ORIGINALS.

Dont take this as evidence though, its just what my reliable source informed me.

You expect too much. Its not that sort of stand. Only rarely at the Goldstone did the South Stand ever make more effort than the North and the West well.....

The Withdean north is only about 10 rows, with that and the type of supporter there it can never amount to much.

Didn't hear any racism and it was the standing up that they had a word with him over.

Out of interest who is higher up the evolutionary scale the orange jacket stewards or the yellow/blue ones?
