If they were real Brighton fans they'd know that what goes in the South may not in the North. If they can't hold their drink, it's hard to feel sympathy for them.

we normally go in the south when we go but we were given the tickets as we were match sponsors and we went as a group of 16 of us as a sort of team bonding / team boost sort of thing... admitelly it wasn't the place to create an atmosphere but surely we shouldn't be kicked out for creating a positive atmosphere and cheering on the team!

Some people might be having an interesting chat with their boss tomorrow (assuming of course he wasn't the one thrown out!).

one reason i never watch btn at home, them ex asda trolley dolly stewards want a good beating..so brave arnt they..too frightened to turn up for the west ham millwall game the other week.. arhhh bloody wimps anyway...ever since i was barred from going into a game at withdean by a nonce last season for being intoxicated i have stayed away..they have lost my custom.. the atmosphere at the withdean is dire anyway..total bollocks.. least at crawley its terracing and stands .. and a great atmosphere..drums banging and all..and you can move down either end at half time... and just £13 to get in...comfy bar.. leather armchairs..live football on big screen... fantastic.. no f***ing nonces telling you to sit down or behave all the time...

Correst me if I am wrong bu racism is one of 3 reasons stewards can arrest people, wereas being drunk requires the assistance of plod?

Arsebackwards thinking imo, newlabour laws i beleive. The other 2 are throwing objects on the pitch and trying to get on the pitch.

Nope. Racism is an ejection, no warning or second chance. Stewards do not arrest. Buddha knows those paramilitary power lusting wannabe ob high-fivers are already powerful and good looking enough without giving them powers of arrest!

Only the pigs can arrest people, every other security representative in nightclub or stadium can only eject or hold for the police in the event a crime has been committed.
Even the ob aren't supposed to arrest mugs for stuff unless an actual law has been broken innit?

not really, because as i said, we didn't deserved to be chucked out!

Not that I wish to intrude on an internal matter, but if I was thrown out while representing my company I would expect to be talked to.

A friend of mine got sacked from Blue Arrow after a bit of "banter" at a charity do at Selhurst Park! :clap2: :albion2:

It's about knowing the time and place for your actions, really. Personally, I'd be as proud as she is of the reason for her sacking in that particular instance, though.

we did lol, and they werent swearing or abusing the ref or the players it was totally pro albion and a bit of work related banter "sattsooooooooomma" because we all work in a wholesale fruit and veg company.

Well, good on you mate, for you and yer company sponsoring a game anyways. Top bananas!

As was reported up top of this thread, NSC's Official Match Sponsoring Squad a couple of seasons back came under similar scrutiny, being asked in a not-entirely-good way by Martin Perry to pipe down in the North Stand. Which was a bit weird.

Splendid. If you are going to cause mayhem at work, involve your bosses before hand!

Got plenty of embarrassing Withdean stories

I took a proper football fan (who's been to many grounds) to the Withdean and told him it was like the Cricket.... silence with the occasional round of applause when someone did something good. He went and told me the cricket has more passionate fans.

Another time some girl was on her mobile and was going, "I'm at the football, no really" - and the person on the end didn't believe her as they couldn't hear anything

This season the people behind me had a good 30 minute chat about their kids starting school.

And this is the South Stand!

Only H block makes any noise and the rest is an embarrassment.

Stewarding doesn't help. Not being funny, but watching football is about passion for me. Can't even swear at the telly in pubs any more as some muppert gives you dirty looks as they have brought their kids into the pub. I like getting excited and swearing during matches, kids should be in the Family Stand. I agree with the racism bit, there's no need for that. If the ref gives bad decisions against us, he's a wanker no matter where he's from. But I can't stand sitting there in silence, and I feel like a weirdo for shouting and singing. At a football match!! It's a sad state of affairs when you get outsung by 50 away fans who can't even see the goal from where they are.

Honestly, if Brighton was on TV every week I wouldn't go full stop. Not even for the big games.
