This isn’t the BBC. It’s a message board where the content comes from the members.

Not sure why I had to explain that to a grown adult.
Personally I’m very right wing and I loved it

True, he prefers dragging all small boats back to France, some of his members prefer sinking the boats and shooting the occupants, or letting them drown.
Where will the boat people be if far right get in in France ?? Imagine that will be more of a problem than Farage/Reform Party.

Skegness and Clacton will be disappointed when they find their MPs aren’t the slightest bit interested in their dilapidated schools, or the potholes in their streets.
No different to the 5 constituencies that elected independents, standing on a single-issue pro-Gaza platform.

Firstly, not sure what they will be able to do to influence what’s happening in the Middle East and secondly, how effective will they be when it comes to day-to-day constituency issues?

Wes Streeting faced this emerging phenomena in Ilford North and only just scraped in - his majority slashed from over 9,000 to just over 500.

They will have zero affect in the Parliament in my opinion. They might or might not be effective MPs for their constituents but they clearly only represented one element of the community during the election which can’t be a good thing.

However, Labour have taken note. The mission to get elected is now complete. Whilst Labour surely won’t do things like introducing sanctions on Israel, the dial will change. The right wing media is much less of a consideration now. I think they’ll look at formally recognising the Palestinian state like Spain and Ireland very soon.

I hope so. I believe any step we can take to help create the environment for a two state solution will be good thing, no matter how small

5 MPS, 4 of which look pretty well qualified candidates is a reasonable start. The vote share suggests 1 in 7 people voted for them. You can’t ignore that. That vote will grow next time or they will move to the conservatives in some form or other.
Good to see a chap happy with the general election result

Out of interest, which were the policies that got your vote ? (And open to anyone else who voted Reform)

Not disagreeing overall but what else would you expect him to do with one protestor after another disrupting?, not too disimilar to Jess Phillips.

Although I'm completely against Farage's politics, I'm not sure it's right for speeches to be interrupted. If that's where we're going, then all parties will end up having their speeches interrupted, and we'll become less of a civilised democracy and more of an uncivilised American joke (sorry my American cousins, but your politics right now is a stain on your history).

But that's not to say Farage shouldn't be better at dealing with heckles. He's certainly had more practice than most. A leader should just remain cool and calm and wait for security to deal with it. Better comments IMO would be along the lines of our democracy giving people the right to choose their leaders, and he could have highlighted that millions of people of voted for reform, and how protests like the one he faced were trying to drag our democracy down. Instead he showed his true colours with his misogynistic comments.

If it were me, I might have made an attempt to hear what they had to say, if they were not going to be reasonable in holding a conversation, I would then ask them to leave. Pretty sure I wouldn't have been trying to work them up further.

Allow security to do their job, not swear like a teenager in a playground. Politicians are meant to be grown ups.

Lots of Labour 'friends of Israel' and 'Labour friends of Palestine' in the new cabinet. Some being friends of both.

I don't think 'we' can do anything on our own. Cabinet chap on the last question time said as much. Wants to work with the UN and America. Standing on the outside, demanding things is useless.

Which is why it is such a shame some Muslim voters decided that this is what they would do, rather than elect a Labour MP. Oh well, never mind. Labour's actions will be what matters to the majority of the population.

The attempt to unseat Streeting was pathetic and one-eyed considering his CV makes him just the sort of person one needs in the support of the persuit of an even handed solution:

Streeting is a vice-chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group against Antisemitism, a co-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on British Jews and a supporter of Labour Friends of Israel.[41][42][43] He is also a co-chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims and a supporter of Labour Friends of Palestine and the Middle East.[44]

I don't know, you're probably right but I'm not sure I could remain polite and statesmanlike when one after another protestor is shouting at you. I quite like someone to give it a go back to be honest, probably why I'm not a politician. 2 Jags clumping an "egger" was excellent, there should be consequence for being a knob.

Are you suggesting Farage is a...... rabble rouser? ???

I'm looking forward to seeing himself escorted from the HoC for refusing to obey the Speaker (and STFU).

I don't think we have to work with the UN or America in order for the UK to recognise the Palestinian state. Spain, Ireland, Norway and 140 odd others haven't
