What worries me about Farage is those who are hoodwinked by his brand of Donald Trump politics. Thought the UK would be smarter than to appear to allow that style of politics, but I guess it takes all types. Just scary to think that people think its acceptable. Do they realise Reform is actually a limited liability company? Although currently funded by £1M of directors loans...wonder which director???

Article in the Gruaniad today.. " He was a deeply unembarrassed racist " "Farage by those who knew him " ....they seem pretty confident that Farage won't challenge this in court.

You're quite right my vote will not have any effect, but it's my disappointment in labours manifesto not being radical enough, as our campaign is all about change, it doesn't read as change, and as Nick Robinson said it is a very different to their 2019 manifesto, which I happened to have liked. If labour don't really mean change I may not vote because it's all about fully backing someone ideas going forward, I hope he is just saying it to win and then reverts to the 2019 manifesto, but then that makes him a liar just like the Tories and that would make me feel uncomfortable with him being in charge.
The 2019 manifesto saw Labour soundly beaten, which shows that they are listening to the electorate not just a vocal faction within the party - a good sign. The biggest change that will come about from Starmer being PM rather than Sunak, Truss or Johnson, is that the adults will be back in the room and we can look forward to having a government that won't be an embarassment.

After the last couple of days of 'Reform overtakes Conservatives' headlines, I saw today that in a single poll Reform were 1 point ahead. On the average of all the polls they are still 8 points behind the Conservatives.

Funny that I haven't seen any articles to that effect

Probably because it's not quite the case. Yes - they are behind in most polls, but not 8 points. Last eight = average of 3.25 behind

I 100% don’t like him and think it is ridiculous that we are even contemplating a time when he may be an mp and leader of the opposition- I find it horrible.

I also think that quotes from when he was a child is unfair, people shouldn’t be judged on what they did in school 50 years ago.

I skimmed the article and its fellow members of Ukip and MEP's and his private secretary mostly.

You're right. It is however of interest that he's always been a racist and not just become one in more recent times.

Well I'm voting for Sian Berry. You could vote Green. There are certain overlaps with the Labour 2019 manifesto. The more Green voters, the more pressure on Labour to go down that route than the nostalgia, racism and unpleasantness of Farridge.

They can be stood down - their name will just still appear on the ballot paper.
So people will still vote for them. Reform voters won’t go back to the Tories. 25% of them want them (Conservatives) to het zero seats.

That’s very different from being withdrawn which isn’t possible.

Yes - and they can still be elected, even if they are no longer standing!

As Reform is a business and not a political party, they can accept donations and not have to account for what happens to that money.

My prediction is that Reform will make a pretty penny over the campaign period and then f*** off back to obscurity.

Farage isn’t even bothering to run on any policies this time. He’s muttering something about destroying the Tory’s and not much else.

This is a money making exercise. Nothing more.

Farage launching his 'not a manifesto' because 'manifesto means lie'.

This will be interesting.....

"Westminster and Oxford University thinking"

He is going to fill the gap between Westminster and the people.

He is going to provide opposition to labour because "the tories are split (Braveman loves me, Cameron hates me)"

"We know exactly what we believe in (family, community, country)"

Using 25 years of Labour Welsh assembly to tell us what Starmer's labour will look like...

"Left wing PC woke direction. Reduced freedoms and choices".

Is this what you had in mind @Kinky Gerbil ?

"Twenty mile an hour speed limits. ULEZ and Mr Khan....Labour not dissimilar to Conservative, just more incompetent"

He is selling himself as "Good Strong Opposition; restore some trust; we say what we mean; need a radical rething about how the NHS is run"

Again all this is resonating with comments of many on NSC.

"This should be the immigration election"

I'll stop now. MRs T says 'not a manifesto? Farage is not a man. He's a ****". Lovely with words is Mrs T.

Sadly millions will fall for this grift. He has the easiest job in the world. Cherry pick everything that isn't working, mock and blame the government and opposition.........

The "contract with voters", when he eventually gets to tell us what it is, will sound wonderful and simple.

Please don't be fooled by this bullshit. If it were so easy to make everything lovely it would have been made lovely. Unless you argue that Labour and Conservative governments want to damage the UK or are moronically incompetent..

I would 100% rather have Tories in charge than this man. Even Sunak.

Don't be fooled, please. Please don't be fooled by this man.
