The one thing that Farage and the Tories need to be worried about is when Starmer is PM. He’s already said he’s going after Covid/PPE corruption and has indirectly mentioned questions about funding for Brexit and other groups. Can’t remember who it was but that wonderful expression ‘follow the money’ was mentioned.
Starmer doesn’t strike me as the sort of person who you want to cross. It’s going to be very interesting as they’ll be a lot of very nervous politicians and ex politicians post GE.

Cost of living crisis due to a 15% surcharge on energy bills to subsidise green energy.

Right, Nige, mate

Population explosion due to immigration is why rents have gone up.

Nothing to do with Brexit.

Ben Habib, Remain candidate who said 'let them drown' . . . . "Can't be racist because he's from Pakistan. Let's get that straight".

Apparently Starmer took off his poppy half way through a day "because he was addressing a Muslim audience".

Any fact checkers available today?

It seems that Farage has decided to present himself in the most left wing and liberal way possible today. If he can manage to sound reasonable for an hour, job done.

Surely that has to be BS
I have now checked online. It is in GBnews, the Mail and the Express and some other web sites. However it is also described as Bullshit:

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Hopefully this will be fact checked.
It was reported in the Mail, Express, Telegraph & on GBnews

No other news outlet saw fit to mention it, only photographs of a black jacket, with and without a poppy.
I suspect it was the same people who said a work meeting in Durham was a party.

Never cross a successful barrister, certainly not one who headed the CPS and who has had a lot of shit thrown his way. The bbc is also going to have a very interesting time, as quite frankly as it’s been in the governments pocked for years.

Pretty unfair take IMO.

There are a swathe of voters of a certain age, who have been subject to 5 or 6 DECADES of right wing newspaper propaganda warning them day, after day, after day of the horrors of a socialist / communist / labour government. I find it difficult to lay the blame for their implanted prejudices at their own door.

So, if they feel that the Conservatives are not worthy of their vote, they’ll look for the the closest alternative - and it won’t be one who their self-interested media have warned them about.

As for the specific reason for this couple’s switch - it just fear of the unknown - and that’s all on Sunak’s desperate, panicked announcement. In the absence of any detail on the scheme, they’ve catastrophised as old folk do, and have assumed that their grandchildren are being sent to the front line, or being jailed if they refuse.
Right wing populism in a nut shell. When you have a government that instead of governing for the good of the country, cos that would mean you know actually writing and delivering meaningful policies, instead stoking phony culture wars and fear of all things not Ingerlish, thus emboldening those who hold the same views but perhaps were in the past reluctant to air them so publically..the rise of Reform and similar was almost inevitable 😢

Nothing to do with Brexit.
And nowt to do with deregulation of the housing market, virtual abolition of social housing, and refusal to reintroduce rent controls!

I bet Farage blames the cold wet Spring and June on immigrants too.

His answer to any problem - blame the forrinners. Yet so many people fall for it, time and time again.

It's worth potential Reform voters reminding themselves that they cannot vote of Farage unless they live in Clacton and looking to see who they would be voting for in their consituencies. They may find that, like in my consituency, they'd be trying to get the Tories out by voting for a candidate who, for some years and until quite recently, was a conservative councillor.

In other words:
