I believe it was just in response to a comparison between Farage and Starmer.

Do you believe it because "fairly reliable sources" quoting "alleged" connections can be trusted? Or do you believe it because you don't like Farage and would believe anything even if the source was a pink elephant on LSD?Have a heard from a fairly credible source this morning that the young lady who threw the Milkshake allegedly has connections to Reform.
Sounds like it was as genuine as WWE

I don’t condone assault, it’s really that simple. The uproar you’re describing has been repeatedly mocked on here because of who the victim is - unsurprisingly by at least one of the users who liked your post. An echo chamber has formed that “it’s fine if they are asking for it with their actions”. Similar sentiments all over Twatter from those who hate Farage. It’s not normalised in society. Hence the uproar.
And to start bringing Jo Cox and David Amess into this conversation is ridiculous.
Two completely different acts with very different motivations and outcomes.
Throwing a milk shake over someone is not a gateway to murdering someone.
Seriously. Get a grip.

Mmmm.... doesn't surprise me. Corbyn is a twatAllegedly a Corbyn follower as well …that’ll surprise a few …..but I’d go with your reading of the ‘incident’

My rebuttal to that is who gets to decide who and what is “asking for it”. Someone who feels the opposite to someone else is always going to the feel the opposition is the enemy and “asking for it”.
Being me, someone who hates Farage, I consider the best way to make loathsome characters go away is to turn my back, fold my arms, and not give them the attention they crave. What I don’t do is endorse an action which has given him 100x more press exposure than he would’ve received otherwise, and making him a victim to boot.
One thing I’ve noticed in society is the habit of copycat stunts and oneupmanship. Going back to the early 2000’s, the Tango soft drink “happy slapping” assaults led to several hospitalisations, including a perforated eardrum. And this was prior to TikTok…
Nowadays, there is a MASSIVE market for “pranks” on TikTok. Most of these are hugely idiotic but relatively harmless in terms of public safety, like say throwing milkshakes over people on the street.
But the need for likes and “engagement” (equaling more money and fame/infamy) leads people to constantly push the boundaries of acceptability in order to get that viral moment.
Taken as a single incident it’s a nothingburger which has actually only helped Farage, but the wider prospect of bandwagoning and the inevitable oneupmanship is a concern.
I must admit she doesn't look much like my idea of a Corbynista or someone with 'links' to 'Reform'.Never had you down as an Only Fans member…oh sorry credible you say
Exactly the same could be said in reverse of Lamie's comment above:Do you believe it because "fairly reliable sources" quoting "alleged" connections can be trusted? Or do you believe it because you don't like Farage and would believe anything even if the source was a pink elephant on LSD?

Do you believe that nett migration of +800,000 a year is sustainable - and as a Green Party supporter (if you are) where would you house everyone?I have far better things to do on Friday night, but I am looking forward to seeing if Carla Denyer of the Green Party can get a word in edgeways in the "leaders" debate scheduled for that evening. Carla set be the only person that will really challenge Nigel's anti-immigrant diatribe rather than pander to it.
Farage may be a crypto fascist, but he ain't that stupidYep.
I'm glad it wasn't a stunt arranged by Farage himself. That would have been quite depressing
And I agree that this sort of thing is a bad thing. And I apologise if I may have laughed at Farage. I can't remember if I did, but I wouldn't put it past me.

I don't understand how huge population increases (that's a city the size of Leeds every year) and preservation of the countryside is compatible.
