You watch the video, there were some interesting bits. Although I feel like he doesn't pay any heed to the nurture side of the debate. He sees everything as nature and I ate and does seem to acknowledge the role of society in anything.

I would also take issue with him seeing Doja Cats decision to change her appearance as the same as anorexia. I don't know much about Doja Cat but I would love to know if this link is sound. I suspect her motives are more about personal preference and selling records and concert tickets.

The interviewer is terrible though and seems hell bent on guiding the discussion to back up her biases (so quiet when he talks about religion and evolution 😂). Desperately trying to keep it as a left v right debate.
I agree with your interviewer observations. He was an interesting listen, but I'm not sure that she was the best person to be facilitating his thoughts

This, the lie that while the world is run by the right (I include Starmer and Biden in there) but the woes are caused by the left is the most shameful one swallowed.

Many on the right are cawing in victory but unable to take the responsibly of what comes with it. Runs along the same lines as the mind virus stuff mentioned in CDs video. (Although that video was careful not to discuss any of the right leaning mind viruses.)

You have won, take the spoils and accept the responsibility.
I don't think the right have won.

They just make a lot of noise.

The electorate in west Europe has been toying with extremes largely because (ironically) a large proportion are comfortable and don't want 'them' taking what they have.

As soon as things turn really shit and the 'them' and the 'us' become clearer, the dust will settle.

The other irony is that despite the 'winter fuel crisis' and the 'disgusting treatment of (entitled) farmers', we are still too comfortable in the west to be needing to give our heads a wobble.
Someone wrote that the Starmer government is the worst in 50 years.
That was after 3 months. Such chatter is imbecilic and has no traction in the wider world.

My prediction is that in 4 years, Farage will make little inroads into bums on house of commons seats.
He may get 15, but the fags and money will have taken their toll by the. He ain't a fit man.
I recon the Liberals will out run him.
But there will be votes to be had from those disaffected by jumped up BBD (A level grades) British Nationalist, Kemi Badenough).
These may go to whatever batshit mental arse-hat has a 'reform' rosette on the ballot paper.
f*** 'em.

Extremes inevitably fall out with each other both on the left and the right. I'd imagine there is much gnashing of teeth at Reform HQ who whilst desperately trying to disassociate themselves from Tommy Robinson are also after a bit of Elon's small change.

Be interesting how long Trump puts up with him as well.

This is the thing. Like Highlander, there can be only one. And we all know it’s going to be Putin who the others are currently serving, either knowingly or unwittingly.

I'm not sure that many who use the word 'woke' have an actual definition for it. Perhaps @Crawley Dingo could provide one for us ? It's a meaningless word to me.
I have asked @Crawley Dingo on another thread to provide actual examples of what they think Labour has done that is 'woke' in order to help illustrate their understanding of 'woke' to the rest of us. So far, no response from them.

Acecdotally I have seen a few suggestions that you should replace the EU membership with being the USs bitch.

Seemingly driven by 'Nige, take back our independence'

What baffles me is how people are still being duped by his shit.
Farage knows there’s a good chunk of the population that are easily manipulated.

If half of America can be duped could 35-40 percent of Brits? I’d say it’s possible.

Well I read a couple of pages so I'll make a few points.

Someone asked what the woke mind virus is but obviously didn't look it up to see. Its a concept developed by Gad Saad an evolutionary biologist, first podcast I came across with him talking about it.

Elon musk "not as smart as his followers think", lol yea OK.

The rest seems just continual smearing of various right-wing figures that come into view. I cant be bothered going through it all fact checking and correcting multiple posts.

The phrase that springs to mind summing up the last couple of pages is that none of you are part of the conversation.

God, I hope you're right but I've spent the last 15 years thinking The Frog and all his little froglets would get here and no further... only to see them keep chip chip chipping away at societal norms and making the world a more poisonous place.

It appears that way, but Reform, despite getting five MPs, didn’t get many more votes in 2024, than UKIP in (I think) 2015 or 2017. I did have the figues somewhere but can’t remember exactly where at the moment.

I don't doubt your numbers but their reach in the media seems to grow all the time. GBNews continues to punt out their fact free narrative unchallenged. Migrants are bad. Net zero's a con. All that stuff. And now Twitter seems geared solely to pipe these lines into the collective consciousness. It's gaslighting on an industrial scale and I genuinely fear for the consequences.

I agree it looks threatening but there are many people who avoid GBNews (who are laying off their presenters like Rees-Mogg for lack of viewing figures) and X (because of the Muskrat). There are more sensible people around than you think.
Chin up.

I've done it again.

UKIP under Farage 2015 - 3,881,099
Reform under Farage 2024 - 4,117.620

In 9 years he gained 236,521 votes

In 2015 the Tories didn't need Reform they could win a majority without them.

But Brexit has destroyed the Tory party and as they get more desperate they will be tempted to work with Reform to galvanise the right wing vote. Without this Farage is unlikely to get very far under the FPTP system. There are racists and crypto-fascists everywhere, but its rare to get them concentrated in one place

This is brilliant

His response is interesting. It mentions his paternal grandfather (rather than maternal) and whines about them bringing in his 'wider family', apparently without any acknowledgement that it was he himself that brought his wider family into it!

And he has now stated that he has referred the matter to the Police......

For balance, this does represent 12.6% (2015)and 14.3% (2024) of the votes cast. Not insignificant numbers and under a "fair" proportional system could have resulted in 82 and 93 seats respectively...

The replies are funny. The RPUKE tweet stated maternal, not paternal, and his final paragraph, has brought forward massive mockery of his tweets in the summer about the shocking treatment by 'two tier Keir' of hurty words on the internet.

Suffice to say that this matter is now in the hands of the Police who are actively investigating a number of possible criminal offences contained within your various posts and your followers attendant comments.

We all know Musk has gone way to far (as per usual) but tricky one for Farage and Remain now who I suspect will distance themselves from him
