I pointed out the downward spiral we WERE on... no investment in team, poor results, declining league position, falling attendance... TLO, BoF et al just produced the same old claptrap about no money to spend... well, we have spent... who is wrong here?

You are - by telling lies about me and what I did or didn't say.

Deal with it.

I'm telling you again - come up with the piece where I said 'don't spend on the team...'

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
You'll be surprised to hear I totally disagree with you... these people go on and on about the need to be 'thrifty', but fail to see the effect this WAS having on the squad, results and, most importantly, the attendance at Withdean...

JESUS H CHRIST - We did not know that Tony Bloom was going to come in with £300k. It is about where the money comes from. Could we afford to spend £300k from a bank loan with no assurance that we will be able to pay it off? Never did I state that we shouldn't spend money on the team, but I did state that we should not over extend ourselves - See Swindon, Luton Town etc. Thankfully, Bloom has come up trumps. It is not that difficult to understand, is it!?

Ps I had noticed falling attendances etc. etc. but there is no single solution to that.

I think he's on a windup BoF. At the very least he's deliberately ignoring the point that we're all making.

The mythical Falmer pot from which Harty says take a million from is the pot that MP has repeatedly said would be created by obtaining permission to build Falmer. Onnumerous occassions he has catergorically stated nthat when permission was granted a new companywould be formed aand all the money spent on legal fees for falmer would be repaid to the football club. That is the pot that people are suggesting could be borrowed aqgainst to strengthen the team to try for promotion.

Can we see the quotes that you have for this...... cos (like your argument) I can't find 'em.

What I find laughable is the Dick Knight fan club, who have writtten about 10,000,000 words on why the club shouldn't invest in the team in the January transfer window, saying the club should instead invest only in the club's future at Falmer...

Where are your examples please.

apparently there's over 10 million words on why the club shouldn't invest in the team in the January window, so shouldn't be too difficult.......

ALL GONE QUIET OVER THERE!

Excuse me as that was 11 years ago and since then i would like to have seen some capital and ambition in that 11 years. Not interested what position we was in when dick took over as its now what matters???

Far more succeful storys that grim storys in football these days,we as a club have not made any progress in over a decade and although falmer is near its still to far away???

Its you're choice like many on here to keep looking back to 97 and being grateful, but also many look forward with ambition. To awnser you're question nobody will take over us now as we have pathetically very high debts yet again.:drink:

CAPITAL - Money spent on players in the last week £375,000
