I think that game showed that despite his explosiveness, Darren Sproles is NOT a starting running back in the NFL. 15 yards :(

Exciting punt returner though, I thought they over used him in the absence of LT. They used a guy called Bennett against the Colts, perhaps they should have used him more. I am a big fan of Sproles, for such a small guy he holds his own.

Anyone with Sooner loyalties like to acknowledge the National Champions?
Sports Mania in Mandarin was doing a roaring trade in National Champion wear this morning. I understand there is a sports shop owner in Oklahoma with around 40 grand of worthless red t shirts on his hands.

"Our Victory. Our Moment" as my blue one (complete with Gator on it) proudly states.

Fully expect to be buying another one this time next year to go with the 2006and 2008 version.

As an Albion fan of 30 years standing I have to say it's nice to support a team that hammers most teams they play out of sight!

congrats. we had a good time watching, i think ncaa football fans over here are few and far between which is a shame, would have been nice to pack the sportsbar out ala superbowl and watch it.

roll on the draft, i was quite impressed by harvin, think that is only the second time i have seen him on tv live and considering he was injured i thought he did ok. am hoping he ends up at da bears.

as predicted in the nfl bar the cards. the nfc west is such a weak division, but like nick halling said they are a schizoprenic football team. happy birthday delhome, ha.

the cowgirls will never win with romo he is a choaker:clap:

Time will tell, but personally I think our o-line must take a lot of the blame, especially against the Eagles when Romo was being hurried virtually every play. Flozell Adams is a big strong fella, but his lack of mobility is getting exposed a bit too often against fast rushers.

Sure, the QB gets the headlines, the pay and the girl(s), so with that comes the focus of the blame, but I think using our 9 drafts picks this off season to improve the o-line has to be the priority. It will also help the run game if Barber could actually have some gaps to burst through now and again rather than always having to fight to get through the line. That took a big toll on him this year, especially as Felix Jones didn't get enough time on the field to provide the one-two punch that Barber needs.

Yeah but to be fair the Steelers D is awesome and not many rushers get more than 50 yards against them. He did have 91yrds in the air (obviously largely thanks to that TD) so i think you'd want to see his against someone else before saying that for sure

Fair point about the Steelers D, but I guarantee you LT would get more than 15 yards rushing against that team. Sproles is great on special teams and a brilliant backup, but I don't think he can be relied upon as a full-time starter.

In today’s local freebie – contract negotiations will be starting shortly with Eli Manning. Looks like he could be in line for $110 - $120M for a seven year contract making him the highest paid player in the NFL – seems incredible in light of his performance (or lack of) for the Giants in the play offs. Perhaps they’ll use some of the money they save when they sack Plaxico Burress.

did anyone apply for the superbash? it is at the 02 this year and sounds good.

i think it is next week that the non-club wembley pin codes are being sent out for the pats/buccs game. my brother got a code to apply for club wembley seats last week (still not sold out the endzone ones)

Eagles @ Cardinals
Ravens @ Steelers

i am going for a cardinals v steelers superbowl, which is sure to mean that the eagles and ravens will win this weekend.

Got my Club Wembley tickets in the endzone, I wen't on instantly and got worst tickets than last year costing £140 so ended up getting £120 in the endzone.

I would love a Cards v Steelers superbowl as well but Eagles look strong and the Ravens can strangle anyone.

Applied for Superbash but unsure yet if I can take the time out to visit London.

Really looking forward to Sundays games, bring it on.

Come on then, who in the WORLD predicted the Cards playing like this back in December? All season they've been able to throw but since the playoffs they've suddenly decided they can run and defend!

Oh and what a player Lary Fitzgerald has been these past few weeks, that'll be THREE TD's already!

What a f***ing SMASH that block was by Sweed! If only the twat had caught the easy TD catch a few plays before!

Was always risking trying for the TD before the half but that's the way Tomlin's called it all season so who am I to argue!

as i'd hoped for the superbowl. i think the cardinals might just win it as well.

stayed up to watch both games right the way through, i always think the nfl season comes and goes too quickly, but i guess at least i might start getting some work done on a monday from now on.

Thank you Starry. Actually hoping Harvin stays in Florida about 100 miles NE of Gainesville. In fact the Gator fans in the office this week enjoyed taunting their Jags supporting counterparts with a plan to fill Jacksonville Municipal Stadium (snappy name of what?) every home game next year. It involved signing Harvin this year , Tebow next , changing the name of the team to the Jacksonville Gators and changing the colours to blue and orange! Not sure the Seminole/Jags fans would totally get behind that!

Enjoyed the Arizona game yesterday but did doze off in the 4th qtr of the Steelers game. Result of a big roast dinner and too much beer and red wine. Happily off work today for MLK day.

I don't normally watch NFL but found myself watching the last 3 quarters of the Baltimore v Pittsburgh game.

What's happened to the guy who got stretchered off?

Christ if you dozed off at 10pm watching it think of us lot who were watching it at 3am! Well worth it though, just need Ward to be fully fit and it's be all set for a pretty decent Superbowl I reckon
