that's willis mcgahee, djmiles. i have been clicking all day to see if there has been an update. the most recent i could find was that he is 'neurologically intact' not sure what that means but they were treating it positively, he is still in the hospital with a lot of neck pain but everything suggests he will be ok. that was a nasty hit.

lol @ jacksonville gators! ha. there is talk of the bears trading out of the first round so probably miss out on harvin anyway.

Has anyone got codes yet for Thursday's ticket sale for the Wembley game? I can't remember how far in advance they were sent out last year.

your pincode was on the email you got in response to registering your interest for tickets.

it is not a lottery this year, everyone who registered can apply for tickets so it is going to be a mad scramble at 10am on thursday. nfluk person in charge - hank, says that emails telling people how to actually buy tickets will be sent out 48 hours before the sale. so hopefully tomorrow.

i have cancelled some meetings on thursday to be sure i will be in front of a pc. we have our personal club wembley seats but we do not have enough tickets from that for everyone to go so am going to try my luck with the 10am thursday lottery.

I don't think I'm gonna bother getting tickets in the draw this year, the past 2 games I bought tickets as soon as I could but then realised I could have picked what seats I wanted the week before and probably paid someone less than face value if I was that way inclined.

Think I'm gonna chance it

i thought about leaving it to chance but i hate to disappoint the kids and i can't risk getting two tickets in one area, then two somewhere else when they aren't really old enough to be on their own so will try for two blocks of six tickets on thursday morning.

received a new email today with the pincode on it and the special link to buy tickets on thursday.

Yep - got my code through this afternoon. Now just hope I can find time at work to get online and order before they all go.

2 Tickets Block 503, that'll do nicely. Starry, dunno how you managed to get row 3 - I was in at literally 10.00am sharp, went for that price band and am back in row 19! Ah well...

managed to find some superbash tickets so the brother and i shall be going be along to the o2 on sunday. always find it better to watch with a group of people who know what is going on, it should be good.

i'm going for the cardinals to win, sorry skint gull!

there was a quite good radio programme on last night about the nfl, salary cap, free agency, draft etc and how that compares to the professional soccerball we have here in this country. made me feel like we're all a complete bunch of mugs for paying to go and watch brighton, leeds, whoever when from the top the whole football ladder is crooked to the core. an nfl model would never work in this country now for football but it makes me question it all and whether i can be arsed with it.

Sounds interesting, do you know what station this was on and whether I'd be able to find it again?

I got 501 row 20 something. Should be a decent enough view from there. Will be nice to see my Bucs play but doubt it'll be anywhere near as good as the Saints/Chargers game.

yep, it is a good enough view up there. i saw some pics from the lower tier and it made me wonder whny people want to sit there. imo that is the worst place to watch an american football game from. i am always amused by the clamour for the 'most expensive' seats at wembley which i think are the absolute worst value.

also, that radio show i was referring to above. they had people from the nfl/american journalists/nfluk etc. on there and the official nfl guy he confirmed that they are working on a franchise being based in england. he said they probably wouldn't be ready to go for about ten seasons but it is definitely on it's way.

Just finished listening to that, very good program with some knowledgeable guests. Sums up exactly why I have such apathy for football nowadays but obviously you could never make the changes such as salary cap and the draft work in football now.

Just while i'm on this thread, being a relative newbee to the sport in the past 5 years I generally watch all the NFL programs when I can to see some of the history of the game.

One I saw the other day was Top 10 bad weather games and number one was this beauty Freezer Bowl - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Wind chill of -59 farenheit!

Yesterday they had effectively a top 10 f*** ups program. This was number one, has tro be the funniest thing ever in the NFL!
