Not expecting Potter to ride this out now. Presuming poor results continue who would you choose as our next manager?

Well stingray over react much? Wonder how you reflect on this thread today.

Potter isn’t going anytime soon , 20-1 for next sacking .
No doubt quite a few will be tempted by those odds - lose to Arsenal and West Ham and Wolves , those odds could tumble.

My statement stands. I voted that I wanted him to stay on, and I'm in the minority (as I presume you are). However have grave doubts regarding his ability at this level and I expect he'll be gone by end of season, if not before.

What statement? You said “not expecting Potter to ride this out now” after the 1-1 with Sheff Utd.

Well here we are, the week after. Potter’s still here? So looks like he is ‘riding it out’? (As he should).

Was thinking about this again yesterday.

In Portugal Joao Pedro Sousa is doing good things. He was Marco Silva's assistant for a long time and now managing Famalicao. Their ground makes The withdean look like Wembley yet they topped the league for a while last season and he's kept them top 10.

Might be a year or so too early for him but I reckon he'll get a bigger club in Portugal at some point which would be the next step to a better league.

Would he be able to stop our forwards missing open goals?

Good suggestion but a risky fourth time in charge?
Maybe we should consider Peter Taylor who did so well at the Goldstone in the mid 70's and then again at Withdean! Third time lucky Peter!

Indeed. Porter OUT!
