Lucien Favre gets my vote.

Done really well with smaller teams in big leagues and developed youngsters.
Tactically astute and plays exciting football.
Out of work so get him in !

I don’t agree with binning Potter but kudos for coming up with a suggestion of who should replace him, makes a change from “sack him but it’s not my job to suggest his replacement”

I know Big Sam is spoken for ...but he seems to have his fans on NSC and the football world it’s early days but he’s sounding more and more like he’s had one too many during post match interviews....came up with a classic tonight on Leeds first goal “the own goal was a mistake” :moo:

I don’t want us to get rid of Potter BUT if we did, if I was Bloom, I would do eveything in my power to try and convince Ralf Rangnick to come back to Sussex.

Would be a monumental appointment and highly, highly unlikely but he is currently not working and I would hope his happy memories from his time here before would tempt him!

Bring Rafa back from China. He loves the English game and is probably just waiting it out for a rewarding job to come his way. He did an excellent job at Newcastle and whilst we aren't exactly the biggest side in the league I'm willing to bet that we won't be nearly as tight fisted having an owner who actually seems to care about the fortunes of the club. He wouldn't be the first ex Newcastle manager to join us after a rubbish spell either.

That would be great, but if not, then Liam Rosenior.

Manager no, but I would put Warren Aspinall in the changing room at every opportunity.

He would be very useful, especially when we're going constantly back to Sanchez from the oppositions half, or when some numpty up front fires wide from a great position, just light the fuse, stand well back and watch  :censored:  punish:

Would be a great appointment but never gonna come in a month of Sundays is he?
Why not ? Apart from Dortmund his entire management career has been at lesser teams in Europe's top leagues. Nice, Monchengladgach, Herta Berlin etc.
If he fancies a shot at the Prem then we'd seem to be a perfect fit for him.

Agree with this. It shows ambition and we should give him the whole of jan to recruit and mould a team capable of competing at this level.

.....and took all these small clubs into Europe almost immediately on a very small budget.
All boxes ticked for this guy.
Just hope he wants to come, but has already worked in different countries.

Fingers crossed. [emoji120]

You’re selling this to me. This doesn’t look like a gamble either compared to potter.

Favre has experience and similar sized clubs where he has achieved at each. His teams set up well and are clinical. He has a record of developing youth and worked in numerous countries. His win rate is excellent.

If he is willing I’d start discussions ASAP. He’s only been out of work 20 days so the clock is ticking.

a galaxy far far away
This thread IS out of order since we have an incumbent manager and there is no indication that he is leaving. I suspect that even if TB had a mind to change, the finances at the moment make it unlikely. Along with every other club we have haemorrhaged money during the pandemic. Sacking and replacing with a new one is expensive.
Anyway TB believes in him, we might as well accept it

This thread isn't out of order at all.

It reminds people that there isn't an inspiring list of candidates waiting to replace GP and that the grass isn't always greener.
