Don't forget Salde.
How could you forget them, being December and all. They’re on the radio every 10 minutes
Don't forget Salde.
Would he be able to stop our forwards missing open goals?
Maybe, bit of extra confidence perhaps. That one is debatable.
What isn't debatable is the set piece defending. I can't remember ever seeing a team as crap at it as we are

This thread is ridiculous. Wtf is this being left open and or not renamed? Genius opening post from the thread creator: “don’t expect Potter to ride this out now”. I mean how can you argue with such a well reasoned opinion?
Yet here we are weeks later, and he has indeed “ridden it out”.
This is completely disrespectful to our current manager who’s doing his best for our club.
I’m sure the “fans” who celebrated West Ham’s equaliser yesterday enjoy this thread as they do the equally appallingly titled “hopefully the end of Connolly”. What a way to treat one of our young players at the start of their career.
There’s a really nasty, entitled, vindictive section of our fanbase at the moment.

I agree but what I don’t get is why the finger is being pointed at Potter for defenders being so weak and shit clearing set pieces, time after fecking time
Maybe I am misinterpreting the posts but most of the Potter our cries are because we have forgotten how to defend set pieces (open play defending seems OK) and because players are missing the opportunities that the way we now play present. I mean how the feck is it the manager’s fault? I must be missing something.
Unless Potter has lost the dressing room and the players are doing this deliberately how is a new manager going to improve defence and attack?
Of course a new manager can improve things. If that wasn't the case what would be the point of clubs having managers
Hypothetically of you had the chance to swap Potter for Klopp would you take it?
With Potter and defending set pieces it's either that his system simply doesn't work or that the players aren't executing his instructions. IMHO he's teaching them a sh1t system that doesn't work, one that allows attackers to get a run on our defenders which is exactly what happened against Saints and Wham.
So after 16 pages the alternative list as far as I can see is
1. Eddie Howe - Who failed with a considerably higher budget than ours to keep Bournemouth up despite having much better strikers than we have (Wilson, King etc)
2. Bruno - Albion great, tick, coaching experience limited, management experience errr, track record of success err. Might be a runner one day, but now, seriously?
3. Marcelino - Interesting idea. Did very well at Valencia but zero track record in england, how is his english etc etc? At least its a viable alternative but a huge gamble
For all the outers there is no point making a change for the sake of making a change unless you seriously think Mark Hughes is the answer? If not a viable, achievable manager who will come and work within the budget and structure please? It just might strengthen your argument because for 90% of the out posters here just demanding a head without an alternative just makes you look a bit of a prat tbh.
I'm Potter in, but if Klopp suddenly declares a lifelong ambition to manage the Albion I'm prepared to change my mind...

To be fair, we haven't seen Connelly since.
It was the Ridgeley, Michael combination that did for us in the Wham game.Of course a new manager can improve things. If that wasn't the case what would be the point of clubs having managers

I'd throw Addams in as well.
