If it wasn't for the fact they were missing some players on international duty they would have been all over us.

The only mistake Newcastle made was to prepare for a supposed "free passing" Brighton side who didn't turn up.

A lucky deflection saw us through......

(Edited :) the assessment from some Newcastle fans on the way back home )

Obviously watching a different game than I was. Bore off.

Obviously, they were going to have more of the ball than us as they are 6th in the Premiership but we defended well, stayed in the game and got a little bit of luck with the goal. That's what it's all about.

Were we not missing several key players also ?

Newcastle were dissapointing. A draw would have been a fair result but games are always decided on small margins

Mistake you say...they made one we didnt hence we won

We were missing key players as well.Noone and KLL would have ripped them apart along with Buckley today.I thought they were piss poor at the back.

Wonder why that is, could it be that Newcastle have had a somewhat larger budget than the Albion for eons. 'Facepalm'

They obviously do not have great strength in depth in their squad so just think what GP could do with a tenth of their resources !

Bit of a negative view in my opinion, so 2 players missing for them makes the difference when they still have a squad of prem players to pick from ?

Thought we passed the ball around well at times and played as well as we could have expected against such a team.

Also more comfortable as the game went on and rarely looked in massive amount of danger in the 2nd half.

Buckley's shot may have been deflected but everyone seems to be overlooking the great run that got him in a position to shoot to start with.

Great win today and nothing can take that away.

You are Alan Pardew or Chris Waddle and I claim my £5.

Newcastle only lost because they scored less goals, otherwise they would have won. Liverpool were probably the better side when they played Wimbledon in the FA Cup Final in whatever year it was.

Can't this be linked to the Pardew is a prick thread ? That's what the OP is referring to after all.
