In the league cup we had Liverpool & played them again a few days later. Ditto Chelsea in FA Cup. The stars are aligned for it be Palace twice in a week.

I thought that the physical battle between Baleba and Joelinton was brilliant and, I have to say, I think Joelinton came out on top, but Carlos would have learnt a lot today. When Baleba got the yellow for flying in on Joelinton, they both smiled and helped one another up. No whining or rolling around, Proper football.

Just a shame that like BDB, he plays for Smug and Saudi

I really like Joelinton, his work rate and physicality is up there with the best in the PL. Gets away with too many fouls and too few bookings, but he's a proper competitor. Would love it if we had him here but that's not going to happen.

I am so utterly astounded by how good the game was today and how well we played, that I barely have any words for it. Sensational win

Interesting afternoon for me. Had to tape the game and avoid hearing the score.

Fast forwarded to half time 1-1. Watching the second half was agony as we spurned some good chances and delighted when it was 10 v 11 as we started to dominate, then Lamptey was sent off and they "scored" with seconds remaining I stormed off upstairs in a massive strop only to return to find it was 1-1 and extra time.

After the Welbeck goal I couldn't bear to watch the remaining 7 minutes and fast forwarded keeping my eyes on the scoreline -- - never felt so nervous and relieved when I saw us celebrate the final whistle. Not a recommended way to watch the Albion it would have been much better on my heart to have just checked the final score !
