Just a note for fellow Scottish exiles - if STV are doing as they did last year and showing Bond films or episodes of Murder She Wrote instead of the FA Cup, you may still be able to watch the game depending on who provides your telly services. (You probably know all this anyway, but just in case.)

ITV London is on Sky channel 973 (I think, based on a quick Google search). If you're on Virgin Media like me, it's lurking on channel 853 as ITV Audio Description - same as ITV London, but with the potential for the occasional voice over saying "Roy Keane looks as if he'd much rather be somewhere else" or "Adrian Chiles appears to have overinflated his face slightly ahead of today's game".

Not sure if you can get non-Scottish ITV on Freeview etc - doesn't look like it but others may well know better than me.

I do feel for the fans who've had another 3pm kick off taken away from them - especially the Toon fans who'll have to get up at sparrow's fart to make it to the Amex in time - but as a Brighton-born, Newcastle-raised, Edinburgh-based Albion fan, I'm well chuffed that it's on the box. The "friendly banter" with my flatmate and my sister (both lifelong Mags) will be fun over the next month or so...

Plus we are usually shit on TV!

Do I sound angry enough yet?
We won this last year.

He was hilarious, give him his due, he did come down to the north stand after the game.

I'm tempted to just watch from home now - I'm really skint at the moment and could do without the inevitable £28-34 ticket price

Bad fan I know but I need to be realistic and sensible with my money

FA cup prices are agreed with the other team. I'm fairly sure that it was about £20 last Jan with less for concessions.

classic case of football being f***ed up by TV, another good reason not to renew a season ticket :censored:

What's the big deal? Not going to make that much difference to Brighton fans. The hard-core Newcastle support will still get down, just leaving early and will find it much easier to get home. And more Newcastle fans overall will get to see it. Plus both clubs make money. Don't quite see what it's "f***ed up".

Hmmm...............now,let's see.

£34 ticket
£33.35 return fare.
£60 out of pocket expenses.

0600 alarm call.
8 hours train ride (return).

So c £130 to come to an early kick off.
Or roll out of bed nice and late and go and hide behind the sofa in wombatmansions and watch on telly whilst the maidservants bring the food and alcoholic beverages.

Hmmm.......
