even more of a reason to get a ticket. Don't think I could stand Andy Townsend spouting crap about The Albion

Can just imagine it now, pretending he knows everything about Brighton players... "This CMS chap, very highly rated and deadly infront of goal, give him a chance and he'll finish it".

Although, that being said CMS tends to play better when on TV, played out of his skin against Leeds, must have dragged his transfer value back to respectable.

Not bad, cant remember our last game on ITV - makes a change for us not to be on a digital channel, not an evening game either.

Pedant alert - ITV IS a digital channel now

its on the newcastle website United's FA Cup with Budweiser third round tie at Brighton and Hove Albion has been selected for live television broadcast, and will be played on Saturday, 5th January.
Kick-off at the Amex Stadium will be 12.30pm with the cameras hoping for another shock from the Seagulls, who beat the Magpies in last season's fourth round.
ITV will be showing the game, which will be the 18th time out of the last 24 FA Cup and League cup ties that Newcastle have came out of the hat as the away team.

And United will be looking to improve upon a miserable FA Cup record against the Sussex outfit. Since a fifth round meeting in 1929/30, which United won 3-0, the Albion have had the upper hand in this tie.
In 1982/83, the sides drew 1-1 at the old Goldstone Ground before Brighton won the third round replay 1-0 at St. James' Park.
In 1985/86, the Seagulls won 2-0 on Tyneside - again in the third round - before last season's defeat.

I'm tempted to just watch from home now - I'm really skint at the moment and could do without the inevitable £28-34 ticket price

Bad fan I know but I need to be realistic and sensible with my money
