Glory hunter.Welcome O.P
I'm a fan of Brighton and Hove Albion, Leamington Town, San Francisco 49ers and Kenilworth Wardens cricket club.
We all start somewhere!
I haven't let Nigel, Boris, Jacob et al. paint you all as racist xenophobes.Did you miss Brexit
Hey now, I am an immigrant!! Emigrated to Australia, I'll have you know.I haven't let Nigel, Boris, Jacob et al. paint you all as racist xenophobes.
.
Indeed, a population, like EVERY nation in the world, which has a sprinkling of dick-heads at either end of the political or behavioural spectrum.... a nation whose population loves to travel, loves to experience other cultures, and a nation which has an unsurpassed record of opening the doors to other cultures into the mix that is the UK.Hey now, I am an immigrant!! Emigrated to Australia, I'll have you know.
But yes good for you. Mostly the Brits are fine welcoming folk.
and the bottle topsA big welcome to the OP. Mucho kudos for not calling it "soccer".
And when you come over, you will love the stadium, the singing of Sussex by the Sea immediately before Kick Off and the comfy seats.

Whitehawk are not shite. If you really believe that, then get it printed on a t shirt and walk along the Broadway up to Whitehawk rd down Wilson ave to East Brighton park and to the enclosed ground, see how far you get. Are you the wealdstone Raider? How many in here would support a non-league club instead of Brighton if they supported their local club?
The reason why 30k people go the Amex to watch Brighton and 242 people go and watch Whitehawks FC is because one of the clubs are good and the other is shit. Or to use your words, Brighton is more shiny.
Compared with other local community league teams or the Premier League?
If the latter you’re comparing apples and oranges. Completely different game and misses the point of why some Brighton fans enjoy watching teams like Whitehawk as well as Brighton.
- usually "Brighton" or "the Albion".Background: I am an american living in Florida my boss lives in the UK and is a lifelong Wolves fan and my buddy/coworker who also lives across the pond is a lifelong Liverpool fan. So I decided to take the first bit of this season to decide on which team to adopt and after some research into ownership, respect around the league, organizational stability etc. things that I admire in my american football team the steelers I decided that Brighton was the team for me. I am not thrilled that the team is three words long, but I am now here to learn so lets start there. My jersey is ordered and on the way, I should have it before the Ashton Villa game. So, do we use all three names in casual conversation? Do we just use Brighton? Why is it three words long in the first place? What is a good book to read to learn more of the team history? Who is our best player in team history? Who is our best current player? Do have any in game traditions like songs or chants? I am ready to dive in and come over and see my first in person have this spring so thanks for having me and being my Sherpa in this journey.
