I'll continue to enjoy the development of The Amex and everything that is on offer there in the years to come.

EP not a slur, NOT DENYING TB is Albion through and through , i've worked for Gillette in the pastErrr......No. TB is a lifelong Albion fan. And one more anti-Jewish comment DR and you will be red carded.
I can't believe there are a few dissenting voices. "No longer a community club" and "sold our soul" are absolute nonsense. How is providing yet more jobs and top-quality facilities for the community proof of this? It's almost as though you believe the Albion are wicked and mischievous for wanting to make money. As far as I can see, there wasn't a long queue of people willing to pump £100m+ into a football stadium and totally regenerate a previously vacant part of our city. Tony Bloom deserves the backing of the council for putting his hand up to make such a difference. I hope he gets permission and I hope he goes on to recover his millions as a result. Meanwhile, as an ordinary pleb, I'll continue to enjoy the development of The Amex and everything that is on offer there in the years to come.

It didn't the last time we went up.
I would think there would have to be some road junction improvements and they never come cheap.
Yes it did, it was less than 3 years ago.

We will be a League one team with not only the biggest stadium but also the biggest hotel. ,..Meanwhile we invest nothing where it matters and that's on the pitch.
Financial fair play? Financial bollocks more like!
I was referring to when the Albion were last in the top flight.
Attendances were high for one season, (although never near capacity) then fell sharply.

I know. If we loose the first half dozen, gates would plummet. But there's a lot more to finance in the Prem than crowd numbers
I would VERY surprised if the AMEX capacity isn't increased in the next five years.
In terms of planning, the Bridge site is allocated for car park and student development use so the principle is agreed, its just the transport and design issues which need to be sorted.
The latest Brighton plan actually supports hotels outside of the city centre providing that they meet the needs of a specific market and could not be located elsewhere, clearly the hotel will be ideally suited to University, Stadium and also (maybe ironically) South Downs National Park and Falmer visitors. The town centre hotels will kick up a stink and it will be a tougher proposal to sell but so long as the transport is not so bad then it also has a good chance.
The only way we are going to fill the capacity we have week in week out is being in the prem. So perhaps we need to spend a few million on strikers. Because by the time Ulloa is back fit, this season could just be about survival. Unless we sign someone very good, very soon. I don't think Scunthorpe fans are going to fill Tony's hotel/nightclub/casino.
