Yes. I never said I got rid of all US services. I will be ditching it next month though.

Wondering what your thoughts are?

First episode I was taken aback and left with a state of wow I need to watch these all back to back straight away.

Second episode I’ve just finished watching and that felt like it dragged even though it was 15 mins shorter in runtime - didn’t really add anything to the story so far, and was a huge disappointment compared to the first episode.

Just about to start episode 3 so hopefully things improve from here

Kind of agree. I thought the acting in the first one was also far far superior, with a cast of British movie/Hollywood regulars and then the second one in the school was like watching an episode of Grange Hill with the acting level of some of the teachers/kids. Took me out of it a bit.

Speaking of acting though the kid who plays the young lad was absolutely incredible. Never acted before apparently, they just plucked him from a council estate somewhere. Reminds me of Tommo from This is England 20 years ago.

I just binned off Netflix and Prime. In part, because of trying to get rid of US based services, but also because there really isn't much in either of them I'm interested in watching right now.

I might come back to it when there's a new series of Black Mirror but I'm certainly not missing it.

I disagree. The interactions with the schoolkids caused a few pennies to drop in piecing the whole case together and also gave a better insight/background into the victim, the accused and those close to them.

I love it – thought it was really clever (it's the first time I've seen it done) and makes it almost like a play. I also played the game of seeing where the actors either forgot stuff or had to ad-lib. For me, it made it a bit more real. Although it can make you feel like you're on a roller-coaster a bit and I also get the eating thing. Must be horrible if you don't like it.

Anyway, Mrs B and I watched the whole lot in one go last night and I was blown away by it. Stunning performances by pretty much all the cast, especially Owen Cooper. It must've been good because at the end I turned to Mrs B and she was in bits – and that never happens to hear watching anything! Simply stunning TV.

Stephen Graham is a SUPERB actor – as well as a creative talent (and his Mrs).

I couldn't have said it better myself. The end was incredibly sad.

The problem I have with the one take stuff is that while it can add some tension and make you feel like you’re experiencing the whole scene. And it can work; the fingerprinting scene is a good example of it working.

But it also doesn’t work in many cases. It can also fill the episode with unnecessary, laborious detail that gets quite boring; the fingerprinting scenes is a good example of it not working.

The Electric State.

It’s like a film that’s been made by algorithms or AI.

It’s got all the ingredients to be an enjoyable film. And I like Chris Pratt.

But it’s a hollow mess. Lurching from one incomprehensible scene to the next.

A film with an identity crisis.

I think kids will get bored and there’s not enough for adults.

Adolescence is fantastic.

Finished watching this last night.

Best produced drama I’ve seen for ages.

Harrowing and very moving. Left me feeling how vulnerable all kids are, especially in the context of social media and cyber bullying - and how powerless adults can be in trying to protect them.

The Electric State - Netflix's new, $320m blockbuster - looks pretty good (like the huge variety of distressed looking robots of all types) but a very slight story which doesn't really engage.

I am another who has just finished Adolescence. Incredible performances all round, magnificent TV. I am an emotional wreck right now.
