Used to go 'shrooming' years ago out near Albourne. Would walk for ages then spot a few. Once you spot a few, closer inspection usually reveals hundreds in the same area. Found the taste a bit raw, so we used to brew them up in a huge teapot. Mush brews. Don't partake at all nowadays, far to busy trying to keep a handle on this plane of existence. Best time is defo Sept/Oct, think you will be lucky to spot any caps this time of year.
