Am I right in thinking that the club nowadays wouldn’t tell journalists ‘on or off the record’ if they were interested in a player or not?
Also, wouldn’t any club employee leaking such information be receiving their cards immediately?

I'm sure that clubs wanting to offload a player (not saying that this is the case here) will happily talk to the press as a way of generating interest, as will their agent. However, I agree that anyone caught leaking information without permission is going to get the sack.

He could get injured in training, but yes, more risk when playing.
More likely to be match fit if we need to recall though.

No recall allowed in a half season loan deal.

A recall clause can only be included in a season long loan deal and can only take place during the January transfer window.

So today I have been told that Bloom didn’t consider relegation a possibility when he hired Potter and now we are allegedly considering letting Glenn Murray go to a relegation rival. Has Bloom lost it?

Not sure who told you that, but it makes NO sense whatsoever. Regardless of how much confidence you have in any manager – not just Potter – there would HAVE to be contingency planning, should the worst happen...

As for Murray, if it happens, I'd assume an upgrade is on their way?

Forest a relegation rival?

Just to be clear I don’t believe either suggestion.

It was the silly article suggesting Newcastle and Palace I was alluding to. Forest would be a sensible move for everyone as long as we are getting a like for like replacement. If not it makes no sense at all except the club doing right by Murray.

I am guessing this is Murray wanting the move and us obliging him for services rendered, there is no way we need any transfer fee and he only had a contract until the summer so the wages can't be an issue.

I think this if true, will start a chain reaction and expect a new striker to be incoming soon then.

I’d think at least one will be coming in if muzza goes

We need another striker, if we let Murray go then we need two. Whether that second one is an out and out striker or an attacking CM who has demonstrated he can score is flexible.
