Good reasoning!

But if the 'rumour' is true. it would look VERY DODGY if he played in the JPT and against Carlisle, then picked up ANOTHER injury in time for the replay!

exactly - and i suspect with forster back from injury, we will not be relying on murray as much as we have when he has been our only fit and decent striker

We definitely need a sell on clause for him, and the one in that deal is shit. f*** off cardiff are getting promoted.

Possibly but I don't believe we would allow him to miss a JPT game (that may lead to a bumper pay day) and an important league game just to avoid it looking dodgy.

Fact is he rushed back from injury and was subbed in the last game due to the very same injury. Why is it so unlikely that this injury has flaired up??

I remember the rumour about Zamora going to Cardiff.

I would think that a more likely deal that has been done is as was suggested a few days ago Murray to Charlton for £500k and Fleetwood. According to his interview on SCR he asked Charlton if he could play and they relented on Thursday, why? when they had already said he couldnt play. I do not think that you can put a lot of credence on what MA said about Murray being injured, what else could he say for him not playing or even being in the squad.

Fleetwood was allowed to play, cos he's got no future at Charlton despite only signing in pre-season.

But initially the Argus and official site were saying he was not playing... then Murray gets a mysterious injury? Why would they just change their minds to stop Adams pestering them?

Hope it's nothing anyway.

Who is to say Cardiff or Charlton will still be in the cup in January? Why should another club be able to dictate which of our players can play for us or not? Unless DK has had some sort of massive backhander then all this is total cr4p. Fleetwood is here because he has gone from non-league to Championship in one move, and hasn't made it; Murray has just jumped one league - can he do it again straight away? Calm down calm down, it's not going to happen.

They should be as they do not join in until the 3rd round which is in January. The reason they can dictate who does or doesnt play for us is because the players in question are their players and have only been lent to us to use in league games.:dunce:

I think you are right , BG , as Micky accidentally let the cat out of the bag by saying that Muzza would be out for 10 days which would include the replay date. By taking Fleetwood as a swap player it also reduces the sell on fee we would have to pay to Rochdale.

Murray is our player and if the club want to earn some money in a cup run they will play him no matter what. I don't think a Championship club would base their cup run on a player from a lower league who doesn't even play for them yet!

If he is cup tied his transfer value would be considerably less.

Would it really ? I'm not so sure with the state of the FA these days.

But I'm willing to believe that if Charlton specifically wanted him and were willing to pay the money, they could stipulate they wanted to ease him in via cup competitions, especially as a player would be coming in return.

Their player playing today is quite obviously the writing on the wall. I'd be amazed if Murray isn't on his way.

Obviously a little bit lazy, no-one get really deny that - but has bags and bags of class. On his day the best striker we've had since Zamora, and possibly more saleable because he is a bit more orthadox.

Just hope we get a good deal.

Well make a nice profit on him anyway. Things could always be worse.

So if we win the replay is Murray going to be out of the team for the Huddersfield game as well just so he can miss the 2nd round game? And if that was a draw would he still be out of the team until after the replay of that game?

No way would any club allow one of their players to miss important league games (and an important JPT game) purely to make it look as though a player is injured.

As for it being a mysterious injury why is that? He was subbed in the last game due to this very injury!

Also I don't believe being available for the 3rd round of the FA cup is really going to make any difference at all to a player's value at this level.

If we get through the replay I would put money on Murray playing in the 2nd round. In fact I will pay £10 to the REMF if he doesn't.
