i went out in Eastbourne not long ago and was actually surprised how rough it was, what a shit hole, tonnes of under-age drinkers and a pretty nasty undercurrent.

apparently there was a lot of trouble in Brighton last night, dont know if anyone knows of anything in particular?

There was a punch up outside the Brighton centre about 1:30 ish but it was just a couple of youngens. Got split up and was pretty even stevens. Couple of decent shots landed but mostly hand bags. Didnt see anything else

I once saw a woman on West St throw her curry chips at her boyfriends head and then reach under her dirts skirt and pulled her tampon out and lobbed that straight in his face. Classy bird.

What is needed is (like in Europe) no or a very low legal drinking age. At first the problem will get worse because of teenagers who drink (yes I am one of them.) but the next generation will not be curious about booze as they have grown up with it

Rubbish. The English people are so much different to Italians and the problem will definitley get worse.

Plus, if I'm being totally honest I definitely wouldn't want to see 14/15 year olds in night clubs. If you then put an age limit on going into night clubs then it'll be the same anyway. Teenagers can get alcohol with ease anyway.

I don't know where people get the idea that mainland europe is some idyl of gentleman sitting al fresco politely sipping on an aparahteif. They have just as many drunken fisticuffs as we do. Yes, I know in France you candrink wine with you meal when you are a kid but it also makes you French!

That murder in Eastbourne last night happened in front of my step daughter. She wasn't sure if it was a bottle or a knife that he was stabbed with.

24 year old in custody, i have been told who it was but i don't know him and obviously can't post it on here. Sounds like he's a bit of a mush, conflicting stories of where there was a stabbing at all, some people are saying he broke his neck

This is what has been written in The Argus:

R.I.P MATE, JUST TO LET PEOPLE KNOW IT WASENT A KNIFE THAT KILLED HIM, HIS NOSE WAS PUSHED BACK INTO HIS BRAIN AND EVERYONE WHO WAS CALLED TO THIS SITUATION DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO SAVE HIM. FORTS GOING OUT TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS..

I knew people would take that Sophie Eliis-Bextor song too literally.

Funktion Rooms is a twice a week haunt when I'm at uni in Eastbourne, can't say I'm surprised with trouble given what is said about (some) locals. The club however is well run, bouncers efficient in not letting in the lager louts - I myself have been refused entry in there for being too drunk (twice in one week once).

Great shame, I was at work in Eastbourne today and everyone that knew was very shocked. 19 is no age to die so needlessly.

just spent 12 days in France near a well sized town, Friday night 11pm and the streets were empty. You would never see that in u.k
