MP's to get a 10% pay rise this year

All very well but I'll go with the figures I have in front of me from the government report rather than someone I don't know on messageboard and their interpretation of what people said on a program I have not seen.
The figures show they HAVE had a real term pay rise in the last 20 years.

you're carrying some large chips there, i wonder if you know anything about MPs, or have cast your entire opinion on the basis of half a dozen from biased, sensationalist media views. my local Conservative MP is an ex nurse from a London council estate. rich and incompetent?

I gather well-connected though..

Even The Sun says this morning that if the MP's get 10% all other public servants should be getting it too, how can a Government lecture on wage restraint and austerity whilst TROUSERING a 10% pay INCREASE and paying NURSES f**k all ?

We're all in it together. Osborn announced today the remaining 30% stake of Royal Mail will now be sold off but this time around the workers are not entitled to any free (productivity) shares. At least the £1.5Bn the Treasury receives will go towards the shortfall when Dodgy Dave let his mates in the City get hold of the shares dirt cheap in 2013.
