I hope we are moving for Ilic because it's impossible to deny how important Caicedo is to us. Gross could play with Mac for the rest of the season but we'd miss the pace and dynaicism of Moises badly.

Suspect the other club is Man City. They've been very quiet when it comes to Moises.

I genuinely believe Bloom will not allow Moises to go in this window. It is not in the club's interest. We find ourselves in with a genuine shot at a top six spot and either Europa or Conference League football. Letting Caicedo go now would jeopardise that.

Should we achieve that status then Moises value will have only increased for a potential sale in a future window, when we will be better placed to replace him.

Also would Moises want a move right now when he knows his only trajectory is up right now. The lad appears to be very happy here, surrounded by his fellow countrymen and is in the form of his life. Why swap that for the toxic environment at Stamford Bridge? Money will not be an issue in his career, he will get a huge payday in the new future.

I do not get the impression either Bloom or the player himself are particularly interested in a move in this window.

He is so so so good and so crucial to how we play - it would be devastating to lose him this January.

I can't stomach the idea of him joining Potter at Chelsea - I can't think of an example of a club gutting another like this? Coaching staff, players, technical staff - it is abhorrent. I absolutely despise them.

I still don't think he'll go this window - but there's obviously a Chelsea f***er briefing the press in order to unsettle him

We need to send a signal, Chelsea can't just pick off any member of the team when they feel like it.

Really didn't used to care a toss about Chelsea, now I want them to lose every game

I agree, there has to come a point when you say enough! This is that point. We do not need to sell now, not sure the player wants to go either, and even if he does I'm sure Moises could do better than overpaid clown show in West London.

Chelsea can F off!

There has to come a time when we start spending big if we are going to keep giving in every time someone waves money at us. We can't get wonderkids through quick enough to keep selling the family jewels. If he does go and we don't buy a £30m+ replacement, I will start getting twitchy. And I never advocate spending large sums of money on players There is making a nice profit which Bloom fully deserves and there is trousering £200m+ whilst buying cheap long term plan replacements and telling us prices of beer have to go up because of all the money he has put in. This is very much conjecture that we are even considering it but we don't have backup in this position. I've always been of the opinion that we can't complain if we have to play at 11pm on a Thursday night as Bloom wasn't the stadium for his kids the rest of the time but this would be a ton of money coming in within 12-18 months with little outlay so we really need to start seeing some spending if it comes to pass. I'd love him to get his money back but not all in 2 seasons or at the cost of a European challenge.

PS - I am sure we would have a good backup in place but this is getting me anxious. If Caicedo and Trossard then why not Mitoma? And Sanchez? And Ferguson?

Definitely not happened in the Prem like this. So far it hasn't worked. Cucu hasn't impressed, Potter under pressure, Winstanley over-seeing chaos. BUT Moises is that good that it would turn their season around. We can not let this happen.

It should just be a firm no in this transfer window. Try again in the summer. Caicedo will prove his high value over the rest of the season and the same teams will come again in July/August.

Guess it all comes down to what the player wants and the money on offer. Nothing Tony and his lizard like poker skills can change about that.

Do not sell at any price, especially to Chelsea.

Caicedo is our most important player, we are trying to push for Europe… this might be the best chance in the clubs history of achieving something and I reckon Bloom as a fan probably knows this.

That SSN ‘breaking news’ by the way is total clickbait bollocks, there is zero concrete evidence to suggest Chelsea are leading the way.

Glad Tony does the deals, not you. Caicedo is worth c£80m ish now, we’re not paying c£50m for a 19 year old (ignoring addons)
We won't be buying Colwill in the summer unless something miraculous happens in player swap negotiations.

A 19 year old left footed CB, home grown and playing at the level he is currently (if he can keep it up for the rest of the season) is worth at least 50m.

I fancy we'll be furiously scrambling right now to find the hottest LCB prospect from some obscure league to fill the gap in the summer.
