Looks like Ajax are after a bigger fee from West Ham than we'd agreed (if you're to believe the waffler)

not going by Jacobs but Ajax did say when they gave us a deadline to complete did suggest if we failed they would only accept a far higher fee

This one's a proper ballache of a transfer saga. Kinda glad we've fallen out of the running for him, no matter how good he's meant to be.
Yep sounds a bit high maintenance.

Yes, if he 'plans to go', he could have actually been long gone by now if he'd accepted Brighton's offer.

I wonder if the €50m ( plus buy-out clause ) still looks attractive to West Ham now that the Lucas Paquetá deal has seemingly collapsed?

Can understand the Paqueta deal collapsing given what might be about to happen to him

West Ham reportedly still bidding. This whole saga seems almost as longwinded as Caicedo's.

Can see why west ham must be frustrated. We negotiated a deal for kudus which was expensive as it stands and now Ajax are shifting the goal posts (which they have every right to do this close to the deadline).

With our interest as bait, Ajax will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Well, they will. But Ajax must more money sloshing around than us. They've probably had to build some massive vault outside the Amsterdam Arena, to horde the massive treasure which PL clubs keep sending their way

Don't blame them one little bit for trying it on. They see two clubs with £100m+ in brand new fifties stuffed into their trousers. It's the stuff of dreams for a selling club. I'm sure west ham will play the game. We don't (normally).

I suspects the hammers are being a little careful with their expenditure.

They are rumoured to be after a quality No.9 in addition to Kudus to replace Scaramanga who returned to his island off Phang Nga Bay after he grew sick of London. Something to do with the restaurants I think.

Stuff of dreams for the selling club - or the stuff of nightmares if the player keeps refusing personal terms. Imagine how awkward it woud be if Caicedo turned down Liverpool, but Chelsea had then come back and said, no thanks, we're not bidding any higher.
Beginning to hope Weat ham (or anybody else - not us) gets him.

Telegraph today reporting that the transfer to us stalled on Kudus’s personal terms. So no impasse between Ajax and us.

Ajax had a turnover similar to Albion last year, and made a €24M loss, despite a profit of €38M on player sales...
