I'm not sure as far as European qualifying is concerned.

UEFA did fairly recently change their rules so that playing for a club in the group stages no longer disqualifies you from representing a different club in the knockout stages (if you get a move in the January transfer window).

We will be naming a specific squad for the Europa League I believe - with an A list and a B list. This is an article from the Man Utd website last season.
