Celebrated like he'd scored the winner in the Champions League final after his admittedly well-taken goal, jumping over the barrier etc. A few minutes later, wild shot from an unlikely angle when other players in a great position. Welbz absolutely loses his sh*t with him - and rightly so. I know he's young, but someone needed to tell him - if we don't win the game, your goal will mean jack sh*t.
Sadly very hit and miss atm. Seems to have moments of brilliance coupled with some of the worst touches, passes and reading of the game in his locker. Needs to realise that there is no I in team.

Doubting the data now? Shame on you 🤣
Well you seem to be the only one posting on here who believes he is ready for the Premier League! I think, and stand to be corrected, that everyone else thinks what we have bought is potential. I'm going to guess the data said Alireza, Percy Tau and a few others had potential, rather than were premier league ready!!!

Depends how you define PL ready I wouldn’t say Darwin Nunez is PL ready although both himself and Minteh are scoring goals in the PL. He has the same numbers as Rutter by the way who I think for £40m should be doing more.

Which, along with what I've seen, makes me struggle to understand why we paid as much as we did! I hope I'm proved wrong.
I don't understand why players need to prove their transfer value. It creates unnecessary pressure and expectation. Let the player develop, he is still relatively new to the squad. I'm sure Minteh will become a great player given time, I already see a lot of positive signs including that good goal against Leicester.

The same could be said about several of our summer signings! So far, anyway - but hoping they'll come good, obviously.

A slight twist to that is that I don't think it is up to the player to justify his fee, more that it about seeing what the club see to justify why they paid that amount.

His lack of control is embarrassing at times.
I can’t see in a million years what the algorithm saw in Minteh, Unless the only criteria was run fast. His control is so bad that I just can’t ever see it getting to PL standard.

Personally I’ve seen enough from him to think he’ll be a Premier League level winger. I just don’t think it’ll be under this tactically inept guy we’ve got in charge at the moment.

Really? LuaLua was streets ahead based on Minteh’s performances so far and he was never a premier league winger
LuaLua wasn’t miles ahead of him. He was playing in L1 and the Championship and never looked close to playing above that level. Let’s not be silly.

Minteh works really hard for the side, has shown a good ability to cross a ball at times, and is lightning quick. And he’s shown he can finish.

But he’s playing in a disorganised mess of a team, without consistent support behind him. And he’s 19. Put him in a team that counters a bit and sits a bit deeper, and he’d look a totally different player, I’d imagine.

Horrendous performance today. Truly horrendous

Get the lad on loan in January I reckon.

For me, Georginio plays on the right every game he's fit. Enciso comes into the side

I'm going to be honest & say that all of adingra, minteh, gruda & mitoma look like good options on the wing

Let’s not pretend Georginho was better than Minteh today. He was arguably our worst attacker, and by quite some distance.

Although I will mitigate that comment by saying I would never be playing him in behind JP - they spend the whole game trying to do the same thing in the same areas.
