Self employed people are some of the lowest paid people in this country. Labour are a joke, people like Millipede, Balls and Chukka have been kept in their bubbles and pretty much moved straight in to politics. I really don't feel they are in any position to start telling us what to do, number one because the policies are really no different to what the Tories are already doing, and number two the mess that party made last time they where in power. Country needs a change, it needs a brand new direction. Millipede says he needs 10 years to sort the country out, imagine 10 years of another Labour government after last time, no thanks.

As far as the last labour government were concerned, everything was pretty much on track until the global recession. The National Debt had been reduced unemployment was down, there was investment in the infrastructure of education etc. Your criticism of Labour MPs lack of work experience is pretty much the same as the Tories.

"In the late 1990s and early 2000s the national debt dropped in relative terms, falling to 29% of GDP by 2002. In 1997 the Labour Government of Tony Blair had inherited a PSNCR of approximately £5 billion per annum, but by sticking to the parsimonious spending plans of the outgoing Conservative Government, this was gradually turned into a modest budget surplus.[11] During the Spending Review of 2000 Labour began to pursue a looser fiscal policy, and by 2002 annual borrowing had reached £20 billion.[11]

The PSNCR continued to increase, despite sustained economic growth, increasing to 37% of GDP in 2007. This was due to extra government borrowing, largely caused by increased spending on health, education, and social security benefits.[5] Since 2008, when the British economy slowed sharply and fell into recession, the national debt has risen dramatically, mainly caused by increased spending on welfare benefits, bank bailouts, and a significant drop in receipts from stamp duty and income tax.[5]"

The worrying thing is that millions of people would probably believe that ridiculous statement when even 5 seconds of googling would show how completely, 180 degrees incorrect, it is. Just for those who can't waste five seconds of their own time:

It's shocking how it's rocketed in the past 4 years. The good news is we can get shot of these clowns next May.

Milliband doesn't like rich people, so he doesn't like himself then.

Cool. I presume Bozza will be shutting this site down so you can all focus on your future leader's speech. By for now.

and to reduce that debt you suggest replacing them with...... who exactly?

those that committed the country to that course of spending in the first place. only half the debt is in reaction to post 2008 crisis, the structural debt as a result of projected spending plans was already clearly upward

It's ****ing terrible and I'm listening on the radio.

I'm looking at his face as well as underwhelmed audience.

Shame really, it's not good when there isn't a credible opposition to whoever is in power
