China and Russia are WELL invested in the African continent.....extremely so in fact.
Particularly China, who strip resources from virtually every African nation to feed their own insatiable appetite and consumption..... their employment and industrial practices would make the worst of the 18th and 19th century European colonial industrialists cringe in shock and disgust.

yes indeed , but we won't bother too much about it because the corrupt officials are cleaning up all over the place and dissenters are taken for a drive into the bushes.

In 1998, however, a new statute of international law criminalized the use of civilian starvation as a military tactic.

Last Friday the ICJ ordered Israel to allow more supplies to enter Gaza immediately. Looks like they will ignore this, so with no access to the most basic foodstuffs, potable water, electricity and essential medicines famine seems inevitable

Given that it's hard to disagree with the arguments that ultimately this is turning into a genocide

There’s 5 times more Palestinians now than there were in 1948. You need to look up the definition of genocide before throwing words like that around
So they need more supplies, not fewer. I stand by my point.

Britannica gives "the deliberate and systematic destruction of a group of people because of their ethnicity". Israel is driving Palestinians off the land, out of homes, limiting access to food, water, etc. dont know what other word to describe it, maybe ethinic cleansing?

@A1X has got it right.
He's talking of the present not the past.
As a side note there are 10 times as many Jews in Israel/Palestine as in 1948.

Brighton factually.....
IDF going into a hospital undercover to assisinate alleged Hamas members.
not sure how I feel about that.

IDF shoot dead a man holding a white flag, and then say the film was doctored.
i am damn sure I know how I feel about that.

There are no winners and this one will be no different. Just more deaths, more destruction, lives destroyed and more problems baked in for decades to come. The current Israeli regime remain utterly deluded

Meanwhile there are 25,000 orphans.

If Israel hadn't won the previous conflicts they would've been wiped out. It was the stated intention of their opponents.
That's winning

You could argue they do win the war but every time they lose the peace, not to mention losing the opportunity to normalising relations with Arab neighbours.

Check back on those wars.
Why is 'normalising relations' (which with many surrounding nations has recently been achieved - Hamas' attack was in part to stop them finally being formally achieved with Saudi) with states whose stated intention was (& in some cases still is) to wipe out all Jews all down to Israel?
You 'could argue' that. But you'd be ridiculous to do so

Deaths on one side continuing from the onslaught of terror. Netanyahu continues with full support of the UK.
