I was listentening to Micky Adams summarising on 5 Live last night. You know, I'm not sure I am over him yet. Anyone else feel that way?

I think he was the best manager we have ever had - who knows what he would have gone on the achieve had we had a proper ground. Might even have emulated Mullary. He likes to get his teams playing footbal, you get the feeling whenever you hear him talk that he knows the game inside out and then some, and his passion for the game is infectious. Above all, he is a man of integrity - not many people you can say that about in the game, is there? He calls it how it is and doesn't try and spin his way out of situations like Fergie or Wenger. He had a great raport with the fans, and while I couldn't make the demo back in October, the pictures of him standing shoulder to shoulder with those wearing the stripes will live long in the memory.

Unlike other managers we've had since Micky who do a bit of punditry, I am still interested in what he says, whereas I'm quite happy to turn off if Taylor or Coppell are co-commentating. I just expecting him to still be wearing the Seagulls crest whenever I see him.

This is'nt to say I'm anti-MM. He's doing as well as anyone else under the circumstances and HIS tactics and HIS loan signings will keep us up this year. Unlike others on this board I am behind him 100%. But Micky ...........

Micky Adams is good enough to manage somewhere in the premiership if he is given a chance, it would be a great shame for a man of his talent to move abroad. Unfortunately, top clubs think it is fashionable to appoint a foreign manager when somebody with the work ethic and integrity of Micky would be the real solution.

Alan Mullary was our sost successfull Manager ever, and therefore probably our best ever Manager. Micky Adams achieved very little compared to the "Mullary Years". Why oh why do people still have any time for the little Yorkshire traitor? :censored:

MA = traitor and I'll never understand why people like him, he walked out on us for something he considered better and so is no better than Coppell

Alan Mullery is god

Ernest, if you tar every person who leaves a one job to go to another to further their career as a traitor then that makes 99% of all those in football 'traitors'. Grow up. I'd have loved to see you walk alongside Mickey at the Falmer march and try and pin that one on him.

I'll accept that Mullery obviously guided the club to finest period of the clubs history in the old first division, but you've got to put his and MA's acheivements in prespective.

Big crowds at the Goldstone/Small crowds of Gillingham & Withdean.

Stable business with progressive chairman/Taking over immediatley after worst administration in clubs history.

A bit of money/no money.

Bamber had started the ball rolling, and Mullery had to continue the momentum. Adams pretty much had to start from scratch.

I agree with hutchings, still always listen to Mickey when on radio tv etc, and he will always be the manager who started our revival.

100% behind McGhee as think although different will keep us up, and be regarded in the same way as Adams in time.

MA is a legend, how many brighton managers in the past ( Peter taylor or Steve Coppell), come down to a Falmer March, get us promoted to second Division, leave us in good shape to win the Div 2 title.

MA is a hero and god in my heart.

:clap2:
