I hope he does well, he has a proven track record at the level above so I dont see why he cant turn them around. A top bloke in every sense of the word.

Immediately pleased the Rovers fans here in the office when I mentioned that he stayed living in Brighton and commuted to Scotland when managing there.

"He better f***ing move to Bristol", was the response.

It's not what's correct or incorrect - it's why you felt the need to mention it at all.

FWIW - I think he'll do well at Rovers.

Because it is relevant Alan ! It was a recognition of the fact in my opinion McGhee did very well in impossible circumstances and was not a dig at Poyet.

Good manager that did well for us on a nothing budget. The season we stayed up in the Championship was a fantastic achievement with the limited players we had. Hope he does well for them.

He did well consider we had NO money, at ALL. Not one penny.

Good luck McGhee, hope it works out for both club and manager.

I hope that we draw Bristol Rovers at home in next seasons League Cup so that MM can come to the Amex as a manager. He would perhaps get the reception that he deserves at least I hope that he would.

Rovers need a bit of stability after their recent spate of sacking managers. Hopefully McGhee can achieve that. Good luck to him.

Yes, yes. please show me what I said that was factually incorrect ?

Not saying you Were having a dig (although it could be construde that way) just pointing out that you did not need to mentionhim by name.

FWIW I'm with you. What McGhee acheived was nothing short of a miracal that season.

Of course it was a dig - don't know why you did it though.

Poyet's budget is irrelevant when judging Mark McGhee.

Agreed, McGhee's budget is relevant when assessing Mark McGhee.

Gus's budget is only relevant when comparing his achievements to that of MM.
