Not just one game, but around that period we were looking comfortable, but then it start to go wrong, due to not reacting to issues, falling out with players and buggering around with other bits and bobs.

Early season I saw it that we played good football but couldn't score more than we conceded (Leeds was an exception) as we didn't have a decent targetman. You'll blame McGhee for that I don't..money, Withdean bla bla bla, boring but irrefutable imo.

As MM and the team couldn't stem conceding more than we scored, whilst playing attractive attacking football, and the hatchets had come out for our SHIT defence (remember that thread?), we went more defensive and boring. It seemed beyond quite a few people's comprehension that our new found adventurous football was at the expense of a solid defence and that you can't have it both ways with our lack of experience and class, not suggesting you were one of them btw.

I know how anti McGhee you are so I don't expect you to sympathise with the fact that we have at no stage this season been good enough to attack and defend and be strong in midfield all at the same time, hence the need to change the style. With GNW earlier in the seasons we could and I reckon would have stayed up. If we were as shit as some suggest we would have been tonked regularly but we weren't which suggests the team wasn't far off being right imo.

In fairness after the game at Elland Road at the end of January 05 we only needed about 6 more points and to an extent we made hard work of getting these.

Rotten keepers and rotten injury list did not help. We could have picked many more points and been above Watford? The fixture list was always going to be difficult though.

Leeds was a disaster from the injury point of view.

Still no viable alternative has been offered.

Very unlikely there will be one imo, as there hasn't been a realistic and better name put forward in the 6 months since the rebellion started.

Mcghee has to deliver next year - but i agree with Naylor. We've got what could be a very very strong side for this league, and it doesn't seem as if too many will be departing this summer, indicating we'll have a good season under McGhee, who's largely built the team the way he wants it now.

Personally though, I reckon that for McGhee tomeet many peopls expectation, Kazim-Richards needs to be the Freddy Eastwood of League 1 next year, which could be a big ask.

And on a completely unrelated note, a new name to add to the frame - Kenny Dalglish:jester:

He hasn't fallen out with Molango.... he's just not good enough

my response was to the statement

"It leaves us next season with 3 players that potentially we will have to pay and McGhee will not play"

and not to "who has McGhee fallen out with" (although I can;t imagine Maheta is too happy about how his English jaunt has panned out :jester:

Do you think Big Phil is seeing how things pan out at the Albion before he commits to the England job?

I said viable. All of them I either wouldn't want, are no good or wouldn't come.

No. No one would. Not one single manager. Thank GOD for McGhee. Where would we be without him?
