For me MM hasn't done a great job, his team selection and tactics are erratic, he seems to alienate players for no reason (Nicolas all season, El-Abd at the beginning of the season) and I don't think he particularly improves players ability wise but I don't think we, in our situation, could get anyone who would do any better.

Okay that's a shortlist of 3. None looking more promising tha MM.

Next!

Great bit of work Jonny

Paul Hart is favourite for the job at Millwall I think.

Eh?

I was merely filling in somebody elses' gap :glare:

it was someone else who mentioned fallings out and then it was mentioned that there would be three players at the club next season that MCGhee would not play

Somebody then said Kuipers, Jarrett and ? ? ?

I just filled in the ? ? ? with Molango

No i was talking about Uncle Buck, not you mate

His remit is to keep us up and take the club forward, he has not done that.

I do not rate him and never have and will be glad to see the back of him, the last manager I disliked like this was Lloyd.

I was never a big Lloyd fan but after the intial relegation Division Three he did a pretty good goob of molding his own team. It wasn't until after he had gone that I realised how well he had done considering the circumstances.

McGhee should stay and try and shape a squad over the summer that will be play off certs. I think he's more than capable of doing that and should be given the chance. But he must be allowed to sign a decent, proven goalscoring centre forward. If he hasn't got us in top 6 by end of October then maybe think about a replacement but until then he gets my qualified support.

Totally agree. Give him the tools he needs and lets see what he can do.

Don't forget we are in the middle of a transition period from a hard working direct side to one that is trying to play much more football. We still have quite a few square pegs in round holes at the moment. Unfortunately, they happen to be some of our most experienced players and we need experienced pros to bring the youngster along.

I'm backing McGhee. However I would be careful with the money, as he had a fair few quid at Wolves and didn't do too much.
But saying that who has at Wolves?

We need stability more than anything, sacking now would not help the "team spirit" would it? The reason we got relegated is we are forced to sell our best players. Does anyone think Taylor and Coppell would have done anything without Zamora & money? Be honest??

So it seems Ian Holloway and Stan Ternant are the favoured candidates?

OK, a quick "Magoo Out" quiz question!!!!!

What trivial Albion fact do Ian Holloway and Stan Ternant have in common, together with Tony Adams who also appears on The Realist's list of "alternatives"? :)

Shit, I didn't think of that one.

But the answer, of course, is that they have all been tactically outwitted by McGhee is Boxing Day defeats at the Withdean :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

I'm sure this also contributed in a small way to all of them being "available for work" now :)

Yes, but as it didn't contain any smutty sexual TITilation, it was never going to meet your exacting standards.

Speaking of which............
