What did it for Major and his MPs was the hypocrisy of scandals after the 'Back to Basics' campaign.

The lies, cheating and adultery are priced in with Johnson.

What I don't understand is the indifference shown to the corruption, have his supporters really fallen that far?

corruption is just how people behave these days, it's expected

Cheers pal. Umbilical hernia. Have to inject myself sub cutaneously with anticoagulant for the next few days. Showing off today I accidentally gave myself an IP injection, forgetting to 'pinch up' the flab, but owing to, ahem, the upper layer, the injection went straight into the body wall rather than my caecum, which was lucky I guess. Stang for a bit

Take it easy :salute:

I'll be fine as long as I can stem the blee

Edit: kidding (before I get another warning for channeling Edward Elizabeth Hitler from Bottom, as I do, sadly)

For shock value only, the full video has been published by the Sun, but it's clearly not CCTV.

It's (cough sorry) clearly hand held.

Sky theorising it was filmed from a new building opposite, presumably with a very strong zoom lens.

Bonkers.

I had surgery yesterday. I'd be as surprised as I'd be appalled if the surgeon who cut me up was goosing his secretary minutes before weilding his scalpel

Time to give the vinyl a spin to aid the recovery process. I must applaud you for having the surgery during the close season so that you don't miss any games at the Amex.

All the best for a speedy return to full health.

Nah. It’s CCTV but somebody using their mobile to film that.

Let's face it, both of them are beneath contempt and clearly don't take public office (or public funds) seriously. If their careers are damaged, don't feel sorry for them. They are both loaded and they clearly don't feel sorry for us.

Hope your recovery goes quick and let others look after you.
Probably be hard for you to keep still, I expect

You're not wrong there. It's a toss up between the codeine making me think I'm invincible (but unable to have a dump) and allowing me to rip the stitches without realising (things need to be shifted, plucked, moved about) or staring moodily into the middle distance. Hmmm...

You'd think so, but there appears to be a bit of confusion and you'd imagine they would be aware of cameras unless they are hidden.

Only repeating a new Sky report. A new building has just gone up across from the offices.

The Telegraph has another angle:

The Telegraph understands Mr Hancock had no idea the camera existed when it captured him kissing adviser Gina Coladangelo, and government sources said it was "unheard of" for cameras to be installed in ministers' offices

They go to quote a security expert that it would be a really odd angle for CCTV anyway. If the camera was monitoring the door, anyone's face would be obscured if they were looking down and the angle looks like it may have been fitted in a light fitting.

If someone is able to film insides a Ministers Office without the minister knowing, the Government have a lot of questions to answer.

First time I’ve seen the video.

He’s a crafty fox, first checking the coast is clear, then he can’t keep his hands off of Gina.

May I just say, she is very attractive.

.. and seemingly unaware there was an oddly placed hidden camera in his office or someone was filming with a powerful lens from across the road.

Beyond the conflict of interest, that's the real story. CCTV in offices ? .. doesn't happen.

Separate to the headline stories, some employers are now paying out damages or fines where they secretly snooped on staff computer usage. Just in general terms, I wonder if similar/identical privacy safeguards exist for cctv in the workplace? Where not used solely to prevent theft or for security.
