I appreciate and admire your positivity but please stop telling people to f*** off or abusing them.

Friendly warning because I don’t want to ban people when tempers are high.

And OK to give dogs abuse to our own players? Due to a mistake. Give me strength if that’s justification in trying to ban people that stick up for them.

Go ahead and ban me for defending our players.

It’s only a game but he’s paid to do that job! Personally, he cost us all 3 points and I am having a hard time getting over it.

One misplaced pass in the final third of the pitch doesn't cost a team three points.

Plenty of other players are responsible for that goal and the result. Obviously he "should" have done better, but so should the other players.

Scapegoating is a pretty horrible thing to do IMO.

I get that 100% believe me. But I can't get angry at someone who didn't do it deliberately and who may be suffering with
a confidence thing which sometimes makes you trip up even more.

Powers gone to your head mate.
I’m not banning anyone.

I’m giving you a friendly warning that telling people to f*** off isn’t acceptable. That’s it.

At the moment that sums him up. Too slow and can’t pass. Can either of those things be improved or worked on? They seem ingrained.

Compare that to Gruda who is too weak but has a nice touch and good athleticism. He strikes me as an early Enciso or Buonanotte. Can be worked on in the gym and with games.

I don’t know how you correct the fundamental slowness of thought and inability of action Wieffer showed today,
I hope you’re right re Gruda, but the tackle apart which set up the opportunity, I’m struggling with where you’ve seen regarding his touch, because I would say that couldn’t be further away from what I’ve seen. I would actually say it’s heavy, and the pace of the PL has completely caught him out.

But, really hope he starts versus Liverpool (and Wieffer), let’s give them games so they can get ‘match fit’.

Good call re the gym though, does look light.

I didn't give ANY abuse to Weiffer. I said he's shit because he's too slow and he gives the ball away a lot. That's an opinion.

We could also say we should not have been so gung ho, because if we lost the ball, they would have 9 players attacking us with 4 players out of the game, maybe that is where our Manager is saying we were not professional.

He’s barely played for us, but if you look at the videos of him for Mainz he seems to have the ball tied to his boot. He’s getting knocked off it here before he gets going, which is why (I suspect) we’ve blooded him slowly.

Yes. Wieffer made one mistake of about ten in that last goal. Even just looking at the 4v1 why are three players making the same run? Two need to drop back and provide a pass and protection if the ball goes loose. Instead they all went crazy trying to score the third with no thought about the bigger picture.

Which position would you rather be in here? Ours or theirs?

Agree.
But, different level and intensity though.
There are lots of players who look good when you have more time and space. Personally, I would have brought on Adringa, but hindsight etc…..

There is no comparison to the PL, it’s harder and faster, as you mentioned other players have had to bulk up to meet the demands.

He got tackled by the pitch 3 times in 5 minutes vs Spurs, and tackle apart struggled today……. You are right though, a cumulative 10-15 minutes is no time to judge anyone, just hoped I’d be instantly wowed (even by cameo’s).

Hoping he’ll show his true form in time.
