I wouldn't give a shit about his personal life, he's done his time, there's nothing else he can do exept from look back full of regrets. He needs to move on in his life and carry on with his career. Put your self in his perspective for once.

Thats quite a tricky thing to do. I'll try and think back to the left time I disfigured a young girl's face.

Presumably, you would be happy to have a child rapist play for the side then? A convicted paedophile?

In fact, I will go back to my previous example..... Jon Venables, murderer of toddler Jamie Bulger, has recently come out of prison. I'm sure in prison/the young offenders institute, he was allowed to play football if he wished. If he could play a bit, you'd be happy to take him on trial then??

Whatever guys, if he banged in 40 goals for us this season he would be put on God like status to the same fans who are slagging him off.

I still wouldn't want him though. ;)

Let's not get too carried away here, yes the crime committed was unacceptable and king deserved to go to prison for his actions. However he has served his time and as such should be allowed to return to his profession which is in his case football. Let's not forget, lee Hughes committed just as serious a crime if not more so a few years back, and whilst similar to now there was an initial reaction that he shouldn't return to the game, he played the whole of last season with barely a murmur made.

There is no comparison between Hughes' crime and King's. None whatsoever. What Hughes did was essentially an act of cowardice and stupidity.

This isn't to say that what Hughes did wasn't totally wrong, but fleeing the scene of an accident out of fear..... and punching a girl to the ground because she wouldn't let you sexually assault her are LEAGUES apart.

Not that I would want Hughes anyway.

Again I'll ask the question. Would you be happy for Jon Venables to represent us? Or a child rapist? How about a paedophile? Where do you draw the line then?

Fleeing the scene, and therefore essentially leaving the victim to die. I would say that was pretty serious. The comparison to the jon venables case is frankly ridiculous, I don't remember marlon king smashing a 3 years old head to a pulp with a brick.
