In these situations they always give the keeper the benefit, and he was touching the ball with both hands but there’s no way he had control of it. It was more of a block than an attempt to catch.

In fairness the Doku booking was strange. Not necessarily a foul, but JPVH lunged in and Doku wanted to try and avoid him. Not sure if JPVH actually got the ball either?

But let's br honest, he was ready to flash a yellow at Brighton in the first half. How it wasn't a yellow that led to our first goal is beyond me.

Horrible to think of that. The glass half full optimist in me is going to put that down to the learning curve of a young coach and a high turnover of new players in the squad.

You can add Ipswich and Forest at home to that, both of which should have been three points.

On the other hand, we were lucky to win at Newcastle and no-one could really complain if the home games v Man U, Bournemouth and Fulham had finished as draws.

And when Minteh should’ve scored. He played a great advantage to let us get to that position after one of their players attempted a blatant tactical foul but never went back to book him.

I havnt seen the incident …..but Pepsi getting so narked by that at the end of the game says stacks about where they are at

Indeed Balaba looks soooo composed in real hard situations yet given such a good chance he resorted to a park player. I laughed.
