Same result as Leicester away, but I left the stadium today a whole lot happier… and though we didn’t quite manage it today, but there’s certainly belief in the team. Now just need to score those open goals.
In these situations they always give the keeper the benefit, and he was touching the ball with both hands but there’s no way he had control of it. It was more of a block than an attempt to catch.Their keeper had two hands on the ball, and it was then knocked out of his hands.
JP and Perdro? Some really good performances across the pitch with Hinsh, Gomez, JP and Perdro standing slightly above the rest.
He was more grouchy with Hooper over the Doku booking and probably several other thingsMore Pep grouchiness on the BBC website:
Man City boss Pep Guardiola: "Unfortunately, we couldn't win. They had chances, but we had two clear chances with Savio [Savinho].
"We will take the point and go forward.
"This is football. We have to accept it. We have conceded a lot of goals this season and that's because of something missing."
In fairness the Doku booking was strange. Not necessarily a foul, but JPVH lunged in and Doku wanted to try and avoid him. Not sure if JPVH actually got the ball either? He was more grouchy with Hooper over the Doku booking and probably several other things

But let's br honest, he was ready to flash a yellow at Brighton in the first half. How it wasn't a yellow that led to our first goal is beyond me.In fairness the Doku booking was strange. You can add Ipswich and Forest at home to that, both of which should have been three points.Horrible to think of that. The glass half full optimist in me is going to put that down to the learning curve of a young coach and a high turnover of new players in the squad.
And when Minteh should’ve scored. He played a great advantage to let us get to that position after one of their players attempted a blatant tactical foul but never went back to book him.But let's br honest, he was ready to flash a yellow at Brighton in the first half. Can't card someone if ref plays advantage apparently. And when Minteh should’ve scored. He played a great advantage to let us get to that position after one of their players attempted a blatant tactical foul but never went back to book him.
Yep - all balances out in the end generally. 4 points return for today and the Fulham game is probably fair, but the other way round results wise! You can add Ipswich and Forest at home to that, both of which should have been three points.
On the other hand, we were lucky to win at Newcastle and no-one could really complain if the home games v Man U, Bournemouth and Fulham had finished as draws.
haven't touched a drop since Christmas. i stand by what i said in the heat of the momentYou need to stop drinking at this point.!!!
In his post match presser he praises us a lot maybe praising Georgino a little to much for my liking although he was outstanding today. He then goes on to say he has a man crush on Potter & RDZ and Fabian’s doing well. In a way he looks like the pressure is getting to himBBC Website:
Man City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC MOTD: "It was a good game. A tight game - I know how difficult it is to make the process which we're in now.
"The players gave everything - we take the point and we keep going.
"Of course, I have confidence and I always have. The young players played good. All the defenders were so clever.
"We were close, but unfortunately we couldn't do it."
Oh dear, what a shame, never mind.
I havnt seen the incident …..but Pepsi getting so narked by that at the end of the game says stacks about where they are atIn fairness the Doku booking was strange. Not necessarily a foul, but JPVH lunged in and Doku wanted to try and avoid him. Not sure if JPVH actually got the ball either?
Indeed Balaba looks soooo composed in real hard situations yet given such a good chance he resorted to a park player. I laughed.Disappointed after the missed big chances.....
But f***ing hell, we're playing well aren't we?
