BBC website again:

Brighton midfielder Jack Hinshelwood: "When you come to Man City it's a tough place to come. They've not been their best this season, but it is still a hard place to come.

"The run we're on we've gone into every game believing we can beat anybody. The fans have been unbelievable. If we can keep this momentum going it's going to be hard to stop us.

"Last season we had a taste of what Europe can be like. As a club we're driving to getting back to that feeling."

Every team has its moments where belief drives results and they start to think the otherwise impossible - this seems to be one of ours.

Only two teams have acheived a draw and 4 wins out of their last 5 PL matches - Liverpool and us so I think Jack sums up the current mojo perfectly and good to hear it out of the mouth of a player!

More Pep grouchiness on the BBC website:

Man City boss Pep Guardiola: "Unfortunately, we couldn't win. They had chances, but we had two clear chances with Savio [Savinho].

"We will take the point and go forward.

"This is football. We have to accept it. We have conceded a lot of goals this season and that's because of something missing."

Maybe not a major decision, but booking Doku for simulation was very odd. I'm all for booking divers, but only when they actually dive.
Maybe if Doku hadn't appealed for a foul maybe he wouldn't have been booked.

Fab on the BBC website (finally!):

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler, speaking to BBC MOTD: "We gave away goals in a very cheap way and we have to improve.

"The fact that we came back twice and we had big opportunities to go for the win is a very positive one. We showed our identity and that's how we want to play.

"Overall, I am happy with the performance, but not happy with the result.

"It is very obvious for me and clear that we should leave this pitch as a winner. Sometimes in football it's like this.

"We have to analyse this game and then we should be disappointed about the draw.

"We should stay grounded, humble and keep pushing each other.

"This club always works hard. We have a situation with the run after the Forest game. It is because we're doing the basics right. We have to keep doing it for the rest of the season."

Last bit from BBC website from Fab:

Finally from Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler: "I came from the locker room and it's a disappointing feeling.

"We deserved to win. We had big chances, especially in the second half.

"I'm happy with the performance. You have to accept the result. It is good to be disappointed, but we should keep focusing on the performance.

"We have to learn from these things."

I’ve seen a few comments criticising the ref so I appreciate this is a common view, but I just don’t see it. I thought he had a decent game
First half was very biased. I only saw one replay of Mitomas disallowed goal but he 100% just guessed and relayed on VAR - he was miles away - I think 30 yards or so - you can tell he didn’t have a clue by the 2 second delay to blow. Then the VAR confirmed it incredibly quickly - when Everton scored against Liverpool they spent an age trying to find something. Then comes the pen - he gave that oh so quickly and happily. Webster had few complaints and the back leg seemed to make contact - of course he dived too but given Pedros antics we can’t moan about that. Very quickly confirmed though. We usually see lots of slow mo replays when i

wrote a whole long reply out then cos of these stupid adverts lost it. But look at how quick VAR was with the decisions that went for them. Look at the inconsistency of yellows, given he booked Mitoma. Second half he was much better but there is a clear big club bias there almost every time we play away to these sorts of teams.

Edit - looks like my initial reply worked and now this post makes little sense but tbh I don’t care 🤣

Not sure what the early Mitoma "goal" was ruled out for. Said on the screen it was for a foul but the only possible reason I could see was it maybe came off his arm in the build up ?

Great performance and result today although I did think we brought about our own problems for their goals.
With a little more composure we could have won that but a point away against the reigning champions is not to be sniffed at

Their keeper had two hands on the ball, and it was then knocked out of his hands.
