Young man, Come and have a look round
I said, young man, welcome to your new ground
I said, young man, 'cause you're in a new town
There's no need to be unhappy

Young man, there's a place you can go
I said, young man, where your talent will show
You can stay here and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time

It's fun to say the name Malick Yalcouye
It's fun to say the name Malick Yalcouye-ay
It has everything
For a chant to enjoy
You can sing it with all the boys (and girls)

Malick Yalcouye
Malick Yalcouye-ay
His touch is so clean
And he's full of great skill
He's giving me tingly feels

Last message from Romano was 'brighton have signed all the papers' 🤣

Another new stage added to the signing process. Hopefully we'll get the next installment tomorrow which is 'Brighton is currently putting its pen down and gesturing to Malick to sign his bit, but he's still got his headphones on and eating a malcdonalds breakfast'

Here we are still going!

Am I right in thinking he ran a pub in Worthing for a while after retiring?

edit - he did, impressed with my memory having never visited the pub

I saw him in a Bournemouth restaurant 30 odd years ago - the bowed legs really are something

Took over the old Wigmore pub, it was renamed The Corner Post when Supermac took over. Don't think he lasted particularly long and the pub shut down many years ago.

My aunt and uncle lived on Wigmore Road. Mac renamed it The Far Post, think he lasted a couple of years, it was then renamed The Wig and Pen when he sold up.

Pub is long gone now and a block of flats has been built on the site.

It's a possibility

He's an 18 year old, and let's not look at Yamal and think that's a normal development path

Foreign loan wouldn't be my preferred option. I'd like to get the lad here, get him playing our football and have him as an u23 / fringe player for 6 months see where he is, then look to loan and if successful, first team the following year.
Thank you, a smart answer to the substantive question rather than nitpicking. I guess we’ll see, it does seem the likelier route I guess

It's almost as though Romano's an unmitigated prick.

Brilliant till almost ruined by "e-eh vrything" (scanbarrassment), but elegantly rescued by "tingly feels". I can imagine the North stand feverishly learning and practicing these lyrics, Mr Taupin.

In fact, I am going to use tingly feels as my new replacement for 'It's a white wine celebration - I've got a semillon"
