They really are trying to make this analogous to WWII, however I’m pretty sure that most modern manufacturers can’t simply make a few alterations to their production lines to start making ventilators. Very interesting.

I had a very strange weekend last weekend.

I was weak , bones ached, and when I started walking around I was completely out of breath, at some points I was struggling to stand up. I have never had anything like that before. And I felt very tired this week.

As I didn't have a cough or temperature I thought nothing of it from a Corona perspective. Over this weekend I've been thinking twice.

I will WFH the next few days.

I took the 'out of proportion' view only a week ago. Right now we are discussing plans to support elderly folk in our block of flats. This shit has just got real.

It's best to prepare. Right now it seems to affect very few. But the figures coming out of Spain today show us that it's ascent is not far away.

It's entirely possible that manufacturers can between them re-tool to make either the components or carry out the assembly.

Agree. I’m really starting to question the U.K.’s very theoretical approach now. This, plus the idea manufacturers are going to switch to knocking out ventilators tomorrow morning. All seems pie-in-the-sky...I guess we wait and see.

im told its quite reasonable, most production lines are about the tooling and engineeers setting up machinery for the product required. its typical government hyperbole though, only certain factories would be spec'd for medical grade production, and you'd only need a handfull of factories switching over.

Check out the Washington Post models [MENTION=33848]The Clamp[/MENTION] posted. You don’t need 100% compliance, any reduction on contacts will help. So as long as it reduces the overall contacts over70s will have, it will help.
