May I introduce you to the concept of "innocent until proven guilty"?:lolol:

To quote the great AP, "they are hardly going to have arrested him if they didn't think hes guilty" *

*yes I know he's not been arrested, yet.

I usually like to hang them before they've done it, but you are a bit too far ahead even for me!!

The problem is that after a while of no progress, they could just be making an arrest to look like they know what they're doing.

It's all irrelevant until they find the girl alive. I coudln't care less about the scum who took her but I just hope she is alive and will be found.

It sounds like the police are getting desperate to be seen to be making progress.

guy called Robert Murat,

sounds like simalaraties to the Ipswich murders, this guy was a translator close to the police etc. the guy in ipswich was very close to the investigation,

both joked with the media that they were subjects

Why not, Yorkie? It's almost two weeks since she went now, and so far they seem to have found bugger all. Who's to say they won't start throwing a few arrests around to restore a bit of hope and faith?

Believe it or not, police actually have to have a good reason to arrest someone. Otherwise they can be sued for wrongful arrest.

I'm not saying that's what's happened, I just have NO faith in the incompetant fools that make up foreign police forces.

That's quite a sweeping generalisation.

I very much doubt that the British police would have done any better. :nono:

Indeed it is. I think if this case was in England it would have been solved by now though.

Why?

It was thirteen days between Holly and Jessica going missing and Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr being arrested.
