Class act today - the first half chance he was stretching on the volley and put it over - not a sitter at all.

The second half effort was brilliant defending.

Murray ran the show second half - most people can see that. Oh, and he created the first goal with a sublime cross too.

SHUT UP!

I completey agree with everything you said, and that's make me scared

would have given it to barnes thought hes improved alot and looked alot more confident today

I agree that it was a much improved performance from Barnes but not in the same class as Murray and Painter who were exceptional today. I chose Murray as MOM but would have had no complaints if it had been given to Painter.

The Hitman's comments about Murray are so laughable that it must be a wind-up!

I agree Muzza was class today. Only thing I'd disagree with was that the one in the 1st half from the free kick was a very good chance. But F it he made up for it with that assist - think it was with outside of his foot?!

Erm, have you had an irony bypass?

It was so obviously a windup:facepalm:

Apologies then. I thought he was serious because so many idiots DO say shit like that whether on here or at withdean, and it pisses me off.

Superb hold up play.
Lead the line magnificently.
Out jumped and out muscled two very physical centre halves and took his usual amount of punishment.
Brilliant turn and pass for the Barnes volley.
Clearly the most skillful player on the pitch.
Numerous flick ons that Barnes didn't take advantage of.
Second half miss - just got away from him when he'd done the hard work (unlucky)
First half miss - not a sitter

Absolutely nailed on MOTM

Spot on
Terrific performance from Glenn today

Bennett. Murry's main job is to score goals. Today he cost us two goals, And still idiots seem to think he played brilliant, he can do no wrong in many peoples eyes.

Seems that he can do no right in other people's eyes as well. It's all a matter of opinions and today I thought he played really well, he one near to every header today. However i'm one of the fans that actually rate him unlike others so maybe it's a bias view.

Murray's movement and holding up of the ball was superb today, he got himself into the right places, he set up Barnes's goal with a perfect cross and throughout the game showed himself to be one of the best crossers of the ball at the club, which made a superb change from our usual aimless floaters straight on to the head of the first defender.

I presume you're suggesting that, as a striker, if he doesn't score, he can't possibly be the best player on the pitch, which frankly displays an embarrassing lack of footballing insight.

Thought he was very good today- yep, he diverted that goalbound shot over the bar but you can't score every game, and as a striker you want him to be going for stuff in the box not standing watching. He was dominant in the air as well as showing some lovely touches on the ground. Far, far superior to anything Walsall had up front, even though fatty Macken curled that late one in (yeah, thanks for that, ref).

Same as...

I personally thought Barnes had a better game but Murray still played well.

You bunch of wankers, GM was far the best player today, what game were you watching, were you really there?
Perhaps you are wind up merchants or have nothing better to do.

Murray deserved his M.O.M. Got better as the game went on. I'll be amazed if doesn't get at least 15 goals this season, injuries and bookings permitting. I actually thought Dicker could have been in with a shout for M.O.M. He was doing his best to hold the ball and make some intelligent passes. In contrast, I thought Kishishev had a mediocre game, making Dicker the pick of the midfielders.

Pleased for Barnes that he scored. He seemed to get better with each game last season, chipping in with a couple of goals. Hopefully that will do his confidence the world of good as he was a bit quiet up until he scored.

I thought Murray was excellent as was barnes and there is signs that the 2 are beginning to link up well, really impressed but my MOM was Painter....he didnt put a foot wrong and capped it off with his first goal, such a difference to the quality of left back we have had to suffer in recent years.

Agree re: Dicker completely. Thought we were an absolute shambles for the first 15/20, then Dicker dropped deep to come and get the ball more and we started to pick up from there. They were all over us at the start of the game.

I think Murray had his best game without scoring yesterday, he won just about everything in the air and was the best player from either side.

Right, can anyone explain how missing two sitters, one from 2 yards out in the first half, and the other when one on one with the keeper, can warrant getting the man of the match award? ???

Murray was class yesterday and looks a yard faster than at anytime he has played for us.... without him Barnes would,nt have scored
