Fluked it somehow.

Last weekend I was a disgrace in terms of how much wine and crisps I consumed, much of it after my sister had gone to bed.

It was a firm lesson to myself that I really can’t just have a glass of wine and leave it there.

Last night was more of the same when I got back from the game.

“Just a glass of red whilst I digest NSC”, I told myself. By the time I went to bed at 2 I’d had the whole bottle, a large sack of salt and vinegar crisps and some Cadbury’s.

Thanks to @Couldn't Be Hyypia and all those providing encouragement to start with good habits and sound decisions this side of Christmas.

I intend to keep going from here to get back to my fighting weight of 12st7lb-ish.

Went up a pound halfway through so I’m ok with where I am 2lb off starting weight
Brilliant idea CBH and please continue in new year and was inspired by your response to another poster re 2lb a month means 1.5 stone a year I am good at maths but when I’m in my head I forget the simplicity of the bigger pic
Many thanks mate

Apprehensive Final weigh-in after having a couple of pints last night.
November 1st: 95.1kg
November 30th: 90.3kg
That’s a 4.8kg drop, so I’m delighted. I’ll be carrying on with this regime until I fly out to my Italian in-laws for Christmas. Hopefully I’ll have lost a few more kilos by then, which no doubt I’ll replace with my mother in law’s fabulous food.

I think of 2lbs as four packs of butter. It's a lot...!!

Well done

Seem to have got stuck on or around 14st 4lbs. Which is the 7lbs of the thread title achieved, but I'd like to get down to something starting with a 13 (not necessarily in the next 7days, as a general aim).
Down to 14st exactly.
Thanks all for the encouragement, and well done to everybody. :clap2:

1st - 118.5kg
8th - 115kg (-3.5kg)
15th - 113.2kg (-1.8kg)
22nd - 111.3kg (-1.9kg)
29th - 109.8kg (-1.5kg)
1st - 109.4kg (- 0.4kg)

Total for the month 9.1kg (20lb)

I had started to lose weight on 14th October when I was 126kg so in just under 7 weeks I have lost 16.6kg (36.6lb).

Aside from a touch of constipation, it has not been particularly difficult. My blood pressure has dropped, my knees don't hurt as much and my visits to the gym have improved my over all fitness.

That is an astonishing achievement. Well done you...!

I'm certain it must be good for mental health too and to start feeling in control again.

I'm just trying to picture the equivalent of over 36lbs. ( 72 packs of butter....!!!!).

29th November 12st 13 - 6lbs
1st December ( 1 month) - 12st 11 - 8 lbs
Similar pattern to me:

1 Nov 86.5kg (13st 9lb)
8 Nov 84.5kg (13st 4lb) - 5lb loss
15 Nov 84.1kg (13st 3lb) - 6lb loss
22 Nov 83.75kg (13st 3lb) - 6lb loss
29 Nov 82.25kg (12st 13lb) - 10lb loss
1 Dec 82.5kg (13st 0lb) - 9lb loss

Mainly achieved through no snacking between meals, which has made me realise how much I was snacking. I’ve upped the exercise levels a bit too, but not too much.

Definitely feeling much better for it, noticeable difference in the mirror and an extra notch required on my belts.

Thank you @Couldn't Be Hyypia for setting this up and everyone else on this thread for your encouragement.

I’m going to keep going with laying off the snacking til Christmas, but expect that I’ll indulge a little over the festive period. I’d be delighted if I can come out the other side of Christmas at around the same weight as I am now.

Target 11st 13lbs
4/11 - 12st 4lbs
11/11 - 12st 2lbs
18/11 - 12st 2lbs
25/11 - 12st 3lbs
2/12 - 12st 4lbs

No loss or gain over the month. Mixture of plenty of healthy days but just too many blowouts to reach target. Still got target in sight. Just going to try and keep weight in check for December for a push in the New Year. Thanks for thread.

For anyone feeling disheartened at not reaching 7lbs off or actually putting on weight (as I did), do not despair. This battle may have been lost but the war is still there to be won! Here's to Decreaseyourweightember 🎄
So it’s more of a Southampton at home rather than a city at home but not a Chelsea away?

Starting Week 132kg

End of Week1 130.6kg

End of Week 2 129.5kg

End of Week 3 129.7kg

End of month 129.1kg

Just off target but progress none the less, difficult last fortnight but encouraging.

I’ll definitely continue this, try and consolidate over December and hit the road running in January, hopefully a Jan25 thread starts as clearly useful to many of us.

Well done everyone

I saw this up on the first page and wondered if people were stiill going. I've fallen off a bit so, while I won't be posting on this thread in December, I'm still going to try and be a bit more disciplined!

Just realised I hadn't updated the end of month progress on this challenge.

I finished the month, well started December, on exactly 14st - so an 8lb loss in November, yea me! :D

More importantly, for me, since the day after the August Bank Holiday, from a starting weight point of 16st 9lb I have lost a total of 2st 9lb in 99 days...

Let's see what happens over the Christmas holidays, as we are away with family for 4 days, so could be interesting...!
