Finished the month at 80.3 kgs which I,m more than happy about.

My personal target for February is a minimum loss of 1.3 kgs. Eating sensibly with the odd treat, this is achievable. If I want to go back to the old habits October 2024, I will fail.

I like my new habits....mentally and physically.

Hoping others will keep on this 'well worth' thread and prolong life and feel good factors.

14/1 81.5kg
21/1 81.5kg
29/1 81.1kg
4/2 80.4kg

Another downward tick. Social life/bad habits vs trying to eat better is an ongoing battle, but happy with a pound a week or so over the last month. Alcohol consumption much reduced, 4 dry days per week minimum.

I really need to pick this back up again. I seem to be one month on, one month off at the moment!

Good bounce, lost a bit of focus here…..poor couple of weeks (had a weekend away, too much socialising) but still a little bit of progress. OK with half a stone in 2 months all things considered but need to do the same again which will require some ‘adjustments’

I've failed to lose any weight so far this year, but March has arrived, there is no snow in the village and the weather forecast is sunny for the next week. Time to start running ourdoors and increasing my exercise regime - which I find easier than eating and drinking less.
Just noticed your location. Fond memories of an early skiing holiday some decades ago!

Re the food intake, I was advised to try to avoid snacking late at night as that had been my downfall (well, one of them!). Just before going to bed, I used to knock up a lovely slice of cheese on toast in two minutes, so I don't do that now. I'm sure that has helped.

1st outdoor run of the year completed. A slow 6km, but it's a start.

I've got to put my hand up and say it's all gone to shit. My guess is I'm heavier than when we started all this. It's all very embarassing.

As of Monday, I need to get back on it.

I'll report in here in the hope that I can embarass myself into sorting this out.

Sorry everyone. It happens!!

It’s not embarrassing at all, we’ve all done it (and continue to do it)…..……..it’s ****ing hard work and means changing habits (often those of a lifetime). Jump back on the horse…..

I'm a week into 11-7 intermittent fasting. Water and a black coffee before 11am. Usually a homemade green vegan protein smoothie at 11 and healthy big lunch at 1230. Maybe a snack and then a healthy dinner to finish eating by 7pm. Then water. Sometimes I eat some crap food and it doesn't matter, aslong as it's between 11-7. I like the simplicity of the rules.
This way of eating, for me, certainly helps with IBS, and pretty quickly too. That's the main benefit so far. Let's see if it also helps with weight loss. Main reason is to be healthy and drink more, secondary to lost a stone or so as I'm over my bmi. I'm interested in the blood sugar impact, keto side of fasting and also autophagy, getting rid of damaged cells.
It is taking some will power but I'm hopeful that after another week or so I'll lose more cravings and settle into it. I'd like to try at least a month of it before reviewing any results.
