Mostly true, but the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony seems an honourable exception and like the work of a totally different country if watched back now!

Funny enough, I put this on a few weeks back to show my kids..

I remember it being amazing first time round, and it was just as good 2nd time around. The sprogs loved it.
I don't think i've seen a better opening ceremony in any sport.

Complete non story. The fireworks are "presented" from the current Mayor alongside a sponsor. This from Boris Johnson time.

I'm of course NOT accusing you of this.

The anti Khan thing is fuelled by racism on social media, mostly from non Londoners who can't live with the idea of a Muslim having a powerful job.

The right leaning tabloids can't use that line so come up with bollocks like this.

The reality of course is that the Conservatives can't be bothered with the London Mayoral Elections, putting up ridiculous candidates time after time.

They do this for two reasons.

1) The PM doesn't want a good Tory Mayor in place that could later threaten their leadership. Cameron made that mistake.

2) Having a Labour Mayor gives them a great opportunity to divert attention.

I imagine their strategy will change when they lose the next election.
