If he does get another contract I'll throw my season ticket at Dean Wilkins (If I had one).

got to be released surely.

3 years of not making an impact. Looks at best average everytime he's played

Will be retained.

I really hope not. Apart from a few flashes, he has never really looked a league footballer. Certainly not good enough to be part of a promotion chasing sqaud in league 1 anyway.

The problem is a few months ago they sacked the only person in the club that had the knowledge and needles to alter the Gullycostume, until a replacement is found a replacement Gully wearer cant be appointed

Albion offer Loft one-year deal
By Andy Naylor
Albion's fringe midfielder Doug Loft has been offered a new one-year contract.

Loft made only his second start of the season in the Seagulls' closing 1-0 home defeat by League One champions Swansea on Saturday.

Oh....................

How can Doug Loft be offered a year when Paul Reid is twice the player?

Leaving aside injuries et al I have my doubts about this decision. Fair enough it is difficult to judge a player when he hardly ever plays but in this case......

I sincerely hope Deano does not live to regret some of his decisions. Still that's why he's the manager and we're not.

Its not really that simple is it?

Its not like every player is on the SAME contract. Giving Loft a new year at £400/week is different from necessarily being able to offer Reid a contract which he might realistically consider.

thats a rubbish comparison. reid is meant to be at the peak of his career at the moment and has spent the best part of 2 years injured. he won't be one of the cheaper players regarding wages methinks.

loft is a young fringe player and as such is likely to be on a small wage?

they clearly see some potential in him and therefore worth a punt.
