Iwhy he kept Loft on is anybody's guess. The boy has NO confidence whatsoever.

Yeah Deano should ban him from looking at NSC that'll be a start to boosting his confidence

Standing in the way of control
Whoever it was on The Argus side who suggested it might be the Dean White/Hastings connection is on to something I think. It makes no sense to keep Loft, who has done nothing in however long he's had to do something, but release McFaul after a few months.

No offence but that is a f***ing JOKE.

End of.

It's OBVIOUSLY something to do with Dean 'TV Salesman' White and the Hastings connection, there can be no other reason.

Oh, and most of all, he must be well CHEAP on the wages front.

Loft must have some incriminating photos of Wilkins or something.

Albion offer Loft one-year deal
By Andy Naylor
Albion's fringe midfielder Doug Loft has been offered a new one-year contract.

Loft made only his second start of the season in the Seagulls' closing 1-0 home defeat by League One champions Swansea on Saturday.

:thud:

What a CRAP decision

Think of him as midfield insulation, who may yet be converted into a decent player.

(I'll get me coat) :bigwave:

So Loft lacks confidence. I wonder why? His career is at exactly the same stage as Hammond's once was, yet we managed to get £250,000 for the most annonymous captain ever to wear the stripes. Personally I think he is worth a punt. If only he didn't get muscled out of posession so easily..........

looking at the games he has played this year he has not done bad, seems to have done very well in the ressies. Only a young player not on much money and only a year. Club don't really have much to lose. Lay off the poor bloke and give him a chance

It's obvious why he's been kept on .....With Gary Hart going, we need someone the crowd has alot of songs about to lift the atmosphere at home games!!

(Here's hoping that he reaches the potential that Wilkins and co see in him and he comes good for us.)

Personally, I disagreed with giving him another year last year and he has shown nothing to suggest that he is worth another year this time around. Can people honestly say that they are happy for him to be anywhere near our first team?! I don't think he can mentally cope with the idea of playing league football and he always looks dreadfully nervous when he comes on.

Probably because the same dick heads on here call him shit when they've only ever seen him make a few substitute appearances.

He's only made a few sub appearances because he is not good enough to command a regular first team place, sometimes not even a spot on the bench.
